They are the worst mail delivery service I’ve ever had. Losing packages, marking them as delivered when they aren’t, refusing to deliver when it’s raining, delivering me other people’s mail… the list goes on

Have called several times,at different hours,different days during business hours.phone is picked up and hung up, without postal employee answering.
Trying to find out why my mail is getting returned to those that sent it. No changes have been made to my account etc. The infomed delivery fails to post mail arriving or arrived as it is supposed to.
Another situation where I had paid extra for mail to be delivered, signed for by the adult at address, return receipt etc. Mail traveled up and down the East coast, arrived a week or more late, put in on street mailbox with no signature or notification of delivery.(Blacksburg, VA) destination. Spoke to the Purcellville Post master showed all receipts,tracking and emails from the other postal locations showing Purcellville clerks failed to properly do their job. Postmaster refused to refund my cost and tried to place blame on others. I told her I was filing a report with the Inspector General her response was go ahead, she didn't care. Typical of the service you get in Purcellville.
How many other folks have had issues with this location?
This location also will go several days without delivery of mail on several routes.

7/28...waiting patiently for packages to arrive from Amazon, via USPS.. so at 2:54pm, today, they claim they came by and was unable to deliver, no access.. I live on a main rd.. my driveway is huge, no obstacles.. they didn't even turn in, stopped at mailboxes and kept going.. watched with my own eyes..let's see how they talk themselves out of this

Stopped by to ship an important delivery on April 15th, and despite the numbers of people there to post tax related, the clerks were professional, competent and a pleasure to work with. The line moved quickly.

I can't thank both Sheryl and Heather enough for helping me locate a package. An order was placed and the incorrect zip code was used. The package ended up in Purcellville. With their help, we were able to finally locate the package and correct the address. Thank you so very much! :)

One star only because zero stars is not possible. This PO has some serious problems. The people who work behind the counter are great. It is mail delivery that is really messed up. We’ve lived at the same address for six years, and I am signed up for informed delivery (ID). Several times per month, if not more, we don’t receive what ID says is coming, and at least several times per month we don’t get any mail at all, even when ID says we have mail coming. What’s worse is that we - and all of the people in our neighborhood - often get mail that is not for them, sometimes for addresses miles away. The level of incompetence is the worst I have ever seen, and I’ve lived in several “Third World” countries.

For than one year the Purcellville post office has had serious difficulties getting mail delivered to the right house. Have complained multiple time to Purcellville post office. Today I witnessed the postal person dropping my box from the seat of her vehicle to the ground near my post. The box contained glasses. When coming back down the road, I stopped her and asked if she placed the box on the ground and she lied and said yes she did. I informed her that I witnessed her dropping the box. She was very nasty and said, “Well I’m sure it’s ok and drove away quickly.

Put mail on hold for two weeks and it is missing, no one at the post office has offered a solution, just sorry we don’t have any mail held, are you sure it wasn’t delivered (it was not- I chose the pickup option). The whole experience has been disappointing.

Two weeks after getting a post office box, I noticed the key did not work. It was another week before I had time to wait in line to find out why my key didn't work. They had changed the lock and given MY BOX to someone else! So for a week, a complete stranger was getting my bills. The staff did change the lock again and gave me a new set of keys...but how does something like that happen in the 1st place!? I had to change credit card #'s to all the bills I never received. What a hassle!
