Don't waste a dime on this place! Staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. An assault that took place on my 13yr old son by an adult here that is on video, and the manager said it was "Justified".

YMCA and the people that are employed are doing a amazing job with the property and the members I'm not only a member. I volunteer for the YMCA and also was employed with the y at one point. Never had a bad experience in any areas of the place. I have attended church and they highly value the christen principles. To me there is nothing better for our home.

I just have to praise the director of the child care center for a minute! April has been such a blessing the almost 4 years we’ve been interacting with her. She started taking care of our infant Fiona and has since moved up into managing the center. She’s got this special something about her that she knows each child and their quirks and needs and what makes them tick. We’ve had a few instance’s where we needed help with our 2 kids behavior and she on her own time sits and observes them and figures out what’s going on and helps us work out the issues. She has gracefully carried the center thru Covid and all the craziness that came with it! The short staffing has been hard on everyone especially us as we are self employed and work as sun contractors. We have no family close and not any friends so finding child care when the center has to close has been incredibly frustrating but we manage. April takes all the parents complaints and not so nice words and she lets it roll off her back and keeps her professional yet still loving and kind demeanor. We’ve gotten frustrated with her and she just keeps her cool and doesn’t treat us any differently. I’ve been meaning to leave a review on the center and I’m just getting the chance to! This is an excellent center the teachers and staff are all wonderful Lindsey in the toddler room is so kind and caring and truly loves each and every child. Lindsey has listened to my concerns for my son Aj and helped me figure out the best solution for his behavior she’s been working with him with his speech and he is talking non stop using clear words and so many new ones at that! She is wonderful! Sara has been so wonderful as well!. I feel my children are safe and well cared for while they are there. Not just safe but they are learning and that is so important.The food they serve always looks delicious and nutritious. My kids eat healthy there and I’m so thankful for that as well. The Ymca child development center has been such a blessing to our family and I know that without all the special staff it wouldn’t be what it is!

This place is kinda fun and kinda boring, they should also add a game room with a arcade and a indoor rock climbing wall, all of those would make this place more fun and better, please do that YMCA please.

However you want to workout is available. Wish the internet was more reliable. Very poor reception. I use you tube workout videos and Spotify for music and most of the time there is enough signal strength to pull them up.

The Y itself may be a little dated on the outside, but the real driver of what makes it a special place is the staff! Well done!

The facility is older, but they have recently done several upgrades. The child care program is excellent with caring and kind staff. I would like to see this facility receive grant money or community support to upgrade further.

Granted the facility is old and the pool is small, but there have been many recent upgrades. I dispute the comments about staff as well. The director, the swim team coaches and many of the staff are amazing and doing the best they can in a lower socioeconomic area.

I worked for the ymca for 2 years. Alison and Adam are amazing and since I have left they have really worked to improve the child development center. I worked in the center and volunteered in the center. The children are amazing but the demand for teachers is really there. The only problem I had working there was the issue with the need to for good teachers. The ymca offers amazing classes and great things for the community! While I was there I helped on many projects that gave back. They offered free meals and showers when we had a huge power outage, the did meals for children every summer to make up for the loss of meals due to school being out, they do the back to school bash to give children free school supplies, they also do teen game night! I would give the ymca community part 5

I do not recommend taking your children to this place. It is filled with black mold in every classroom, the rooms are never cleaned or sanatitized properly, and the management is rude and disrespectful. The teachers there are wonderful and try to do the best they can, but the management makes it so hard on them. They are also racist, hate filled people. I don't recommend anyone to take their children here or to apply for jobs at this place.

I don't not recommend anyone to ever apply for any positions at this place. They are so rude and dirty towards their staff. I have watched them hurt so many good and hard working people. So if you're wondering why they're always hiring it's because they don't know how to treat people and ruin some of the best hard working employees.

What do I recommend? fun, friendship, fitness, fellowship, helpful, caring and courteous staff, clean and sanitary conditions, up to date equipment, safe environment, a better place to get healthy rather then those commercial industry facilities and it's HOMETOWN PEOPLE PLACE! You just need to try it and I believe you'll be hooked!!!
