“Drove down the lake to get gas, was able to pull right up and pump and pay no problem.Took a few minutes to go to the shop with my wife and daughter, had a great assortment of things if you're staying a night or two, plus hand dipped ice cream! Also saw they sell live minnows if you're fishing on the lake.While I was checking things out I dropped my credit card. I looked but didn't see it. I notified the staff, and left. Came in a few days later and they remembered me, they said they found it right after I walked out and tried to chase me down, but we had already left. Very kind folks, and honest enough to hold on to my credit card for me.Next time I'm in town, I'll be sure to stop by again, and will definitely get some ice cream.”
“Ronada is the best! Her staff was really polite and so was Ronada! She was very polite and very welcoming! I had never been to this location before and it was a very pleasant experience! I will definitely be back to try more foods from here. The BBQ sandwiches are very good and they are priced fairly well, I've tried BBQ sandwiches from other locations and they weren't as good as Cougar Xpresses! If you go there for the first time I would suggest the BBQ sandwich because it was very good!”

“Driving through Virginia, had a whim to stop and see an old college friend in Pulaski. My friend suggested we meet at Starbucks in Food City. We discovered it had recently opened at the brand new location. It was immaculately clean and well staffed and stocked. It even still had that “new car” smell. lol
I was immediately impressed, wishing I lived closer so I could shop here. They seemed to have everything. I must say, grocery-wise, I define “everything” as whether or not they stock a Michigan favorite (spiced ginger ale) “Vernor’s”. Guess what? They did indeed stock everything, as I was able to purchase a couple bottles to take home with me.
I hope heaven has a Food City! Manna and Vernor’s for eternity. Of course, it’s “spiced”, so maybe somewhat on the other direction…”

“I was visiting SW Virginia from Wyoming for a month. While shopping at Food Lion, I experienced hospitality like never before ... and I've been to all states, except Hawaii. The employees from each department, inc cashiers, were genuinely helpful and kind (not syrupy) and joyful, as were all of the other customers!! Fabulous experience!!”
