Great place to work at. Safe equipment and nice staff in the shop and dispatch office. As with all jobs there’s a few hiccups here and there. As long as you’re hard working and honest the boss will go out of his way to help you.

I've worked for Carry On Trucking for 4 years now, and have 19 yrs driving experience. It's a small company but has the best shop of anywhere I've ever worked. Richie and the guys in the shop are top notch and don't let anything go that's unsafe , everything problem I've had has been fixed immediately unless it's something minor that doesn't affect the safety of the vehicle and can wait til the weekend such as tripak issues or something. The ladies in the office have went out of their way several times for me to leave work at the drop of a hat for home issues . Billy himself is not a bad guy, he runs the company in a professional manner and expects professionalism from his drivers when dealing with customers , he has helped me out of several messes I've created myself. All in all out of 19 yrs trucking , this is one of the best companies I have worked for because as a small company I don't have to worry about getting the runaround . I can go straight to the owner anytime I feel the need if I have an issue which I've never been able to do at any other company. His door is always open to to his employees and he is at the office the majority of the time so you have easy access to him.

Was with this company for 2 years. The dispatch that's in pulaski office are great to work with, however the owner and shop manager likes to pick and choose random things to find wrong to keep drivers from earning safety and performance bonuses. Also, the owner will place responsibilities upon the drivers that they wasn't hired for nor certified to perform. For example: I was hired to drive truck and deliver freight on time to customers with the exception of weather and traffic conditions and/or equipment failures. I was asked to give another driver a ride to pick up a truck left on a lot for more than 2 weeks. Upon arrival, I dropped the driver off as was asked of me and learned that the batteries was drained and truck would not start. After the driver informed me he was going to call the company shop of carry on trucking, I proceeded the remaining 8 hours drive to deliver the load I was hired to deliver. 1 hour after I had dropped the driver off as requested by owner, the owner calls me and very aggressively tells me it was my responsibility to perform maintenance duties and fix the truck with dead batteries. Then proceeded to tell me, " I now have to send my shop staff to get this driver going." After I made my arrival 580 miles away to deliver the load I was hired to deliver, the owner call me and tells me to clean out my truck once I arrived back to the office the next day because I was no longer an employee of carry on trucking.
