Hazel is amazing. Her store is full of fun items and tons of art projects to keep any age group busy. She has classes at other venues so you can always find a fun place to take a class! Highly recommend!

I knew this place existed however they are closed on the days I have off so I hadn't experienced this place until recently. Dec 9th I took the day off and took my daughter downtown to see Santa which was located next door. I saw outside they had $1 ordiments to paint I thought it would be fun for her so we went. My daughter had a blast and I was able to buy a baby Yoda wooden wall hanging she could paint at home. I fell in love with this place not much exists for kids these days for artist expression for children at least. They were so welcoming, inviting and helpful to my littles needs. I would have stayed all day and bought so much more for her and myself if I didn't have so much planned for the day already.They also sell local artists work.I'd give more stars if I could.Absolutely recommend this place to families of all ages.Thank you to the staff that made this place so inviting and fun for my daughter. * edit: I finally have Saturdays off now so sometime soon so I can now bring my daughter to paint to her hearts content.

We're in town from Texas visiting family and decided to stop. Definitely a fun place for all ages. 3 adults and two kids, ages 5 and 9, had a blast.

That Art Store is a collection of over forty different artisans. There is art, jewelry, decor, and take & make crafts available for purchase. There is a section for in-place decorate. There are kid & grown up items. The price on the paint-in-place items includes use of the facilities as well as supplies needed to complete the project same day. The supplies available are: aprons, paint (washable, acrylic markers, dimensional fabric), crayons, brushes, clean up. Tiffany is friendly and everyone was very helpful! This is a safe place for questions and creativity. Definitely coming back!

Kids seemed to have more fun here than at the Children’s Museum next door.They have a variety of “15 minute” art projects for kids as well as some take home kits. It’s all very convenient. It’s worth a stop as you leave the Children’s Museum.

We came for the children’s museum but this store and the people that work there stole the show! The staff was so welcoming and even helped my 3 year old make her own slime in the craft section. I don’t come to Portsmouth often, but when I do I will definitely stop by!

Had a painting class with Tiffany, was so much! She’s a great teacher , I think I’ll be spending a lot of time there. They have many different projects you can do, grab a friend or two and have a great time.

highly recommend a visit! we brought a group if 6 girls to celebrate a birthday. they all chose their own project to do and it was super affordable. the ladies in the store were super kind and helpful and the girls all had a fantastic time!

Gorgeous artwork by local artisans but also art lessons for adults and children.Child lessons are on a walk-in basis and only cost a few bucks depending on the project you pick.

Great store with a friendly owner. A real "feel at home" vibe. Truly recommend and quite a gem for Portsmouth.
