I have never had a problem with this CVS. The staff are always friendly and willing to help me. Sometimes I have problems with the machines that develop pictures, but the staff always help me figure it out or help make it work out. The pharmacy staff are always nice and pleasant , too. I don't do a lot of shopping here but love to see what's on sale. Check them out!

Not sure what is going on with this place. But taking 3 days to get 3 prescriptions filled is insane. Getting called and told the prescriptions are ready only to come in to find the system down. Then the pharmacy is randomly closed for 2 days during the week. And then finally when they are open. Still have to wait 15 minutes for them to be filled. This is really been an awkward experience. Not doing a service to people that need their medicine.

Every single time my Dr calls something in, they "don't see it" and it NEVER fails! I've had my prescriber try to call them herself and they don't answer. As soon as I have it called into another pharmacy, there's no issue. The drive through is hardly open and the line is always through the store inside. On one occasion, they gave me antibiotics for a 4 year old WITH NO FLAVOR. He literally gagged and threw it up. When I asked for flavor the next time around for my other child, they told me nobody was there to mix it. I've never had so much trouble with a pharmacy before.

Pharmacy is understaffed. The staff who are there are doing their best to provide good customer service, but they are extremely busy and overworked, especially since the competing Rite-Aid was closed. Be patient with staff; corporate CVS however should be entirely replaced.

Now they've changed their hours to close by 6:00 p.m. worst possible pharmacy ever. How am I supposed to pick up my prescription I go to work before they open and I get out now when they close.

This is the WORST pharmacy! I can't stand the rude staff! I've been waiting for a prescription for over a week and when I got a message saying it would be ready yesterday at 2 and today she says they are working on it. Lie! They are so slow and rude! If you have your prescriptions there call your provider and explain how your NEVER getting your medication on time....EVER! You can have your prescriptions moved. If your thinking about sending your prescriptions there go some place else, especially if they are important and your every day living depends on it. Do yourself a favor and apparently them too and go somewhere else. Management will not be of any help, the actual pharmacists won't be of help even corporate can't make them be any faster or less rude. This location is a waste of peoples time and health. The whole short staff excuse is just an excuse they have been saying for 6 months now. It's just a horrible location with rude people that's it!

I can never get through on the phone, refills are never ready on time so I lapse. The app is no help as it is not user friendly when it comes to the pharmacy. Takes data to get something filled when the Dr. sends it over and no notification if it's ready or not. This place is always under staffed and I feel for them, but there is no excuse for having to wait days for a prescription unless I stand there for over an hour waiting

Horrible, my medication was sent over lastnight and I get there only to find out they don’t even have it ready and tells me to come back at 2pm I’m not understanding why it takes 4 hours for simple meds. Now I have to go through pain for 4 more hours because they want to lie and say they just received it even tho I called my doctor and they said they been sent over the prescription info. Hire new people at this point

HORRIBLE!! My mom got blood clots because they WAITED A MONTH TO FILL JER MEDICINE AFTER HER SURGERY! They will not cooperate to allow my mom to switch to Walgreens! I advise everyone to file a complaint with corporate and with your insurance company that is paying for medicine you’re not getting on time! This location is disgustingly understaffed and they don’t care about hiring replacements! Pull your meds from this location!‼️

No drive thru too short on staff. 35 min wait inside hot store w no where to sit to pick up rx. Staff is courteous but saw front store staff on phone doing nothing when pharmacy very busy.

This CVS is the worst! I wish it was another pharmacy near me because I would not go to this one. They only have 1 drive thru lane open so people with covid go thru the same lane as non covid customers. The pharmacy NEVER answer the phone, the excuse is they are short on staff;they been short on staff for years! Prescription is NEVER ready and take 2 to 3 days to fill. No need in calling corporate been there done that and NEVER got a call back (and it's been months). Corporate/regional/nor the store manager ever called me back. Use gloves going thru drive thru its a danger covid zone!! Absolutely crazy!!!

I have been putting this review off due to a lot of reasons but the first is I am loyal to CVS and especially the location off Chesapeake Blvd and little creek road. They are awesome. The second is I understand short staff but with short staff it resolves in a weeks to maybe a month. I have lived in Portsmouth since April 2022 and the excuse is old and run its course. I’m sick of it. I do not get updates on my refills and between me and my fiancé nothing is ever filled till we go and check on them or to pick up to get told come back and have even been told then not ready. You can never get anyone one on the phone EVER. Today topped it. I have an ear infection that is painful and get an automated msg(that I have never gotten with any other prescription) so I’m like dang maybe this is looking good. Message says ready by 11:30.. go to pick up drive thru is closed and a note says short staffed come inside and the line is long. Get up to front a girl is going between two registers to help customers. She tells me she can have mine ready by tomorrow morning and I tell her I need it today she said hospitals have priority and before I come out of character I walk away!!! I hate this location and will have my prescription sent back to Norfolk and waste gas to make the drive!!! This is unacceptable and from the reviews something that is a continuing problem. No apologies nothing..CVS headquarters or someone in upper management needs to step in and help to resolve these issues for all of us that need medicine daily. I also have a monthly refill here.Update. it's sad as I read these reviews and not one time does anyone come on here and apologies or anything from CVS. I guess in the grand scheme of things they think we need them more than they need us. I wish there was an option for a negative or no star. This pharmacy needs to be revamped and given the help they definitely need. My fiance went to pick up the next morning and found out they did not have the drops for my ear even in stock and they never mentioned this when I went to pick it up only mentioned they could not fill it due to short staffing. We had to transfer it to another location.

I asked to speak to the Pharmacist and he was available to speak to me at that time. I asked for his opinion about taking another COVID Vaccine and he looked it up and said, for my age group it would be appropriate. So I received my 6th Moderna Dose. I felt that I should get another one because I was told that they last for 6 to 9 months and as a Caregiver for my Sister which is a heart transplant patient and she is also currently on dialysis, it would be to my advantage as well as hers to get another dosage! I had a Great Experience!

Drive thru line is always long, pharmacy line inside the store is always long. They never answer the phone when you call them. Cvs, do better!!!! This store sucks!!

Have called them for a week no answer. Went to the store and line was so long a minimum of a hour wait. On app was told meds were being held because out of pocket cost was expensive call the pharmacy. Problem is they filled it 2 times already and never had an issue until now.
