If you are hungry & need a quick bump then a hot sandwich from Island Stop is a must. Plus select treats from the deli cooler deserve a try...in addition an on site butcher will cut your steaks to order...selections in store vary with the season however this spot is a big plus for the Port Hayward lower Mathews County area.... let's give it our support...this area is a better place with them here.But wait- understand this place is under new management, actually new ownership. Their staff has changed. Their best sandwich maker behind the deli no longer there...this is sad. Hopefully her same high standards will be continued. Let's hope for the best & give this new team out support.

Great place for sandwiches chips and a drink. You can also get bait and fishing gear, gas,etc

Great pizza, delicious chicken salad. They sell out quickly and they are good. The food is take out, but go have a picnic somewhere, or take it home.

I was disappointed to learn Island Stop no longer had the New Pointer sandwich, but I went on a limb and ordered the Cuban sandwich which I had never had there. This was the BEST Cuban sandwich I had had since I went to Florida and had one at a Cuban restaurant. My hats are off to all of you!!! Not to mention this is a great place to purchase steaks and fresh ground hamburger.

Good Italian sub! Not had anything else. Hit and miss on inventory. Glad to have it available for the limited choice in Mathews.
