Decent place, that stays pretty well stocked. If only it wasn't in Poquoson, it'd be even that much better. Though I'd rather shop here, than any other Ace Hardware ever again....

Not the customer care I’m used to from this store. They frown on returns even on small items. There’s a young kid there that knows exactly what a manager is going to say on anything. I try to make 100% sure of what I need before I buy but sometimes mistakes are made. Based on this experience I find myself driving to another store even if it takes a couple more miles.

Went to get a few things for our house. A replacement house key: went to customer service with our chosen key and the associate tossed it back on the counter and said no. Then, he turned the key hooks to the right ones and said “pick one”. We then picked the same style of key that matches ours. It would have taken 2 seconds for him to grab the right one but made it more difficult than it had to be. Rubber grommets: was in the hardware isle where an associate was stocking shelves. Asked where they were and was ignored. Asked them again and they had no idea and said it blatantly not caring about the customer.

I'm in Taylor's Poquoson store almost every day; love the convenience, the team (who love my dog!), and the variety of products. Seldom do I need to venture elsewhere!

I'm surprised by the carefree attitudes of the employees. While waiting to have keys made, a younger man walked by several times and never said a word. We then realized there was a doorbell style button attached to the counter that summons the request for help over the store PA system. Still nothing...., After walking to the front of the store and making eye contact with an employee there, I was able to get him engaged in helping us with the keys. When I let him know about trying to get help previously, I got back "well, I was outside so I didn't personally hear it". Not the first time it's gone like this. I'll drive to Grafton next time.
