They looked at our pos car for free and didn't pressure us into paying for the needed fixes. It felt very mom and pop family oriented. I'd definitely go back if I needed to fix my trucks.

5 stars is not enough for me to express my appreciation for Gary, Derek, and every other person I came into contact with at Gary's Automotive. I would normally apologize up front for the length of the review, but these guys deserve all the recognition. I was traveling with my wife and kids when we starting having car trouble the evening of Labor Day. I should preface this by saying this car is fairly new to us, only had it for a month. It was bought from Carvana (never again), and supposedly passed their 150-point inspection. Anyway, I limped it into Advanced Auto and the code reader indicated a problem that would prevent us from being able to continue the final 2 hours to get home. We got a hotel for the night in Petersburg and my wife made a list of shops to call in the morning. The only way I can explain the next part is that God was looking out for us knew where we needed to be. Gary's was about the 4th shop down on the list, but for some reason I called them first as soon as they opened at 8am. The voice on the phone was pleasant, and after explaining my situation they told me to bring the vehicle on over and they would take a look at it. Within about 10 minutes of arriving, Derek had the vehicle in a bay. His light-hearted banter kept me amused while dealing with a stressful situation. He communicated what he was doing at every step, let me know what he was testing and why, and communicated the outcome. He was in constant contact with Gary in the office of the shop and it was obvious they both were very invested in helping me achieve the best outcome. Unfortunately, the presumed problem was not something small. However, Gary ran the VIN # and found out there was an open recall for my vehicle. Gary called the dealership and spoke with the service department and set up an appointment for my vehicle. My insurance company was hemming an hawing with getting a tow service out to me because it was going to be a long distance (40 mile) tow, so Gary was able to call a tow service and get me taken care. His tow shop cost me the same as what my insurance was going to charge me, even though I have tow coverage. Even the tow driver Gary recommended was awesome. We had a cargo carrier loaded down from our trip and he helped me unload and get the carrier off of the top of the vehicle before loading it up to tow. It doesn't stop there. One of the regulars in the shop was hanging around and overheard my situation and offered to give me a lift to Enterprise to pick up a rental car. We arrived at one location and they didn't have the vehicle I had reserved and we had to drive another 15 minutes to another location. Big shout out to Mike! During this experience, Gary repeatedly mentioned his concern for my family and wanted to make sure they were taken care of, to the point that he even said that if Enterprise did not have an available car for me, he would personally take off and give me and my family a 2 hour ride to get us home. This is not the way we wanted our vacation to come to an end, but these guys really helped us make the best out of a bad situation. Gary, you and your son and staff are a God-send. My family and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness. God bless!

I've been to Gary's several times for different vehicles. Gary and his mechanics have always taken great care of me. Cannot recommend them enough!

Gary and the boys go above and beyond to make sure you and your family are safe in your vehicles! Our vehicles will not be going anywhere else, the best customer service and prices around! I called Gary right after hours, both Gary and his son Derek drove back to the shop to make sure our vehicle was safe for me to drive. When I say they go above and beyond I truly mean it! They put so much love and passion into what they do you can’t help but love them as your own family!

Called for appointment for wheel alignment truck was taken in and on rack within 1 hr , mechanic checked under truck did wheel alignment, great service and owner was nice to take to ,will be back in future
