We've been going to this location for a long time. This is not an angry Karen post but a call for management to wake up. Let's start from the beginning... I've warned them several times about their strawberry cakes molding by the front door. Yet they continue to sell them for 10 dollars and pass them off as fresh. Please.
Second, the produce is either too ripe and attracting bugs or not ripe enough. Expired bread with mold, out of date dairy products and hamburger with red on the outside and old bad meat inside. Several times now I've taken hamburger home for it to only turn brown by the next day. This is not acceptable. Lee County deserves better.
Now, lets talk about the staff. As a former quality inspector and customer service manager, this store hands down has the rudest, most unfriendly staff I've ever encountered. Stop hiring high school students who could care less about their job. Ps, the health department has been notified.
Now, this takes the cake. Changing self checkout to 15 items or less was irresponsible and ignorant. There are so many people with mental health issues who cannot functionly handle interacting with another person, especially a rude one. Forcing them to go to a slow cashier is nightmarish and cruel!
It's a shame to drive 30 minutes to be treated like crap, especially after spending 300 dollars. Change self checkout back to the way it was. Fire the rude teenagers and try to make a difference in an already cruel world. Kindness is everything and the way you represent your company and youself matters.
Next, stop selling bad and expired foods. If you wouldn't eat it, don't put it out for sale. Teach your people to say excuse me and be helpful.

Never been to this Food City because I don't live in Pennington but whenever I'm in Pennington....I will definitely visit this Food City. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

We pick up our prescriptions from the pharmacy here, and the staff are always very friendly & helpful. They take the time they need to with patients to help them answer questions & solve issues.
