I had Pemtel for a year and half or so, and it was amazing service. I had issues with connection at the start but they worked hard to find the problem and fixed it for me.

absolutely horrible internet service. grossly overcharges for the very spotty DSL they provide. on top of that, the connection drops out very regularly with absolutely NO strain on the internet - no big downloads, no high-definition streaming, just very typical usage. they would be out of business if they didn't have what amounts to a monopoly over a good portion of their service area. the folks who work at the desk or in tech support may very well be "nice", but that in no way excuses some of the most shoddy utility services i have dealt with in my entire life.

Only internet in the area. Nice people but not good internet. They are suppose to go fiber but it might be to late since Shentel will be installing their new networked called Beam. Hopefully They get fiber in before Beam is here. Which wont be long.

On Friday, a truck snapped the phone line going across the road to our house. You had it fixed within an hour of us reporting it. Thank you so much for the quick and friendly service!

Only internet in the area. Nice people but not good internet. They are suppose to go fiber but it might be to late since Shentel will be installing their new networked called Beam. Hopefully They get fiber in before Beam is here. Which wont be long.

My internet constantly stops or has the slowest speed imaginable. They have been to my home several times and tried to fix but I still do not have consistent wifi or good internet speed. I pay a very high monthly bill that includes a telephone that I do not use but must pay for to have DSL internet. The employees are very friendly but the company stinks and charges for something they do not deliver.

The internet goes down at least once a week, and whenever we call in they just say “the system is down”. Furthermore, completely unreachable outside of 9-5 M-F, so if your internet goes down at 5:01 PM on Friday you’re out of luck until 9AM Monday morning.

Overpriced, spotty service, bad office hours, non-existent upload speeds. The staff is friendly, but honestly with the time they have had in the area with a functional monopoly they could have done better but they didn't. Also they are closed on the weekends so if you need something that the rent-a-call center cannot help you with, well..... good luck maybe try sending your messages over carrier pigeon I hear they are more reliable and cheaper.

Higher internet speeds should be available at reasonable rates if you have to pay for a phone you will not use. Allpoints offers 10mbps for $50 with no phone fee as it is wireless broadband.
