Mail always comes late and that's even if we're lucky to get it. They need to get it together.

Every time I have been to this Post office, the people are very nice. The problem I have with this Post office is they do not answer the phone. Also, our location has not received or had pick up mail from our location in over two days. Who do we talk to about this? With know one answering their phones, how do we get answers?

The Orange, VA Postal Service is outstanding. I’ve been helped quickly and efficiently in the Post Office on Main St. many times over the years. I also have experienced the best service from our mail carrier. He has amazing attention to detail and he gets the job done. In addition, he is always courteous and helpful. Our small town is very blessed to have such wonderful help.

9/10/21 at 3pm I was shamed by the postmaster and the clerk for bringing a box of donor “thank you” packages to be shipped. I’ve done this before without incident. The two of them took pleasure in mocking me. The clerk announced to everyone in line that it would take an hour to process my packages. That resulted in two people in line yelling at me for using the post office. Many more people waited patiently. But the two who yelled were a spectacle. I asked the clerk if there was a better way for a business to ship a large order. She had no answer. I asked her to stop my order to let others through. She fumbled through a money order and needed the sneering postmaster’s help. So I collected my remaining packages, thanked them, and left. I went to another county post office where they processed each remaining package for 1/4 of the cost and in less than half the time. How can we encourage businesses to come to Orange, VA with this level of disgrace and rudeness? —Dr. Dena Jennings

Ashland Amazon sent my packages to this post office but I live in Greene county. Been trying to call them for 3 days and no one is picking up. Of course you can’t access my front porch it is freaking 30 minutes away in a separate county that you don’t deliver to! Answer your damn phones!

Very very poor service! Gave my package to someone I do not know mid route. Left pink slip in my box. I go to pick up my package and they don’t have it and say I signed for it. How did I sign for it while I was at work and when I have a pink slip. I get a call from them asking me to return a package that I may have gotten accidentally. I got a message/call from a complete stranger from spotsy county that they had my package and met the carrier while on route to get his package and was given mine by accident. I go to post office a second time to see how this could have happened and I’m told I signed for it and insinuated I was lying. The lady said the carrier described me to a “T” that I signed. I’m not quite sure how the lady at the post office knows what I look like as I had a mask on and a beanie hat. When I call usps they say it was signed for by someone I do not know at a time I was at work. The lady helping me identified herself as postmaster when I asked. She was very rude. I want to know how my package ended up in spotsy when I had the slip and how I could have signed. I have opened a formal complaint with usps and inspector general. I urge anyone else having issues do the same.

I have no issue with my regular delivery person, he's great. However, going into the branch for help is a nightmare. I was told by a supervisor that she couldn't do anything to help me with an insured international shipment that I received damaged. She said I had to file a claim online, but I showed her the USPS website that said I couldn't file a claim as the recepient and even read off to her the instructions that said to bring it in and she would process it and give me a form.

Our postal carrier for Monrovia Rd constantly bends mail and forces it out of the back of the mailbox. He was hired to do a job and if he's unhappy about the requirements of that job he should, perhaps, allow someone else to do it. I will gladly discuss this with him in person.
