Ballywhack Shack and Cafe
304 Mill St, OccoquanWent with my boyfriend to grab a coffee earlier in the day. I had a mocha and it was perfect! We had to come back the same day later in the afternoon to get some sandwiches before we hit the road again. When I say these sandwiches were 10/10, I MEAN IT!!! Definitely my boyfriend and I’s new spot every time we come back to the area. Thanks guys! Beautiful cafe inside as well.

Bottle Stop Wine Bar
311 Mill St, OccoquanCame for dinner and drinks with my brother and his wife. Have nothing but good things to say. We all got the special... Shrimp and Grits, which we all considered among the best we've had. One person at our table had a gluten dietary restriction and Jess, the chef, came out to personally explain the options. She was so knowledgeable and accommodating! Our waitress, Francesca, was similarly kind and knowledgeable. The cocktails were very well-done as well. Can personally recommend the Buzzed Socialite and the maple smoked old fashion.
Dietary restrictions: They did a great job with gluten free. Could make certain items with GF panko and had strong knowledge of individual ingredients.

The Spot on Mill Street
406 Mill St, OccoquanI went to have a late breakfast and ended up ordering so much food. They served breakfast all day. The biscuits and gravy were soooo good. The breakfast pizza was decent but not the highlight. Hot chocolate and coffee was top tier. But the burgers and sandwhich as are mouthwatering. The workers are also super nice, the location outside is cool, just a bit cold during the winter.

Zorba's Grill
201 Union St, OccoquanMy fiancé and I just moved to the area and made a last minute decision to have a late lunch here and we are so glad we did! The chef was also our server and did an excellent job. We both ordered the chicken pita and it was absolutely delicious. My fiancé is from the Mediterranean and said that it "took him home" and was the best pita that he has ever had in the states. The intimate environment was clean and cozy and the soundtrack was just as welcoming. We absolutely will be returning and bringing friends and family!

D'Rocco's - An Italian Joint
301 Mill St, OccoquanTried the bruschetta, carbonara, and the half sandwich chicken Parmesan with Caesar salad. The food was decent, I personally would've liked more flavor/seasonings in the carbonara, anchovies on the Caesar and no marinara on the chicken Parmesan sandwich -but those are my personal preferences. Overall a nice view of the river, and Main Street. Service was excellent and would return to try more items. This time around my favorite spot was the bruschetta.

Cock & Bowl Belgian Bistro
302 Poplar Alley, OccoquanMy husband and I stopped by here in the later part of a Saturday night. We are fans of historic Occoquan and had not been here before. It was exceptional with heated outdoor seating, French music in the background and attentive waitstaff. We stuck with appetizers (pommes frites, fig tarting and in assortiment de frommages) and they were all tasty. I would be curious to see if the full entrees were just as good.

The Mad Cow burger is very good and filling...cooked to my liking without any issues, and came with old bay chips...but I opted for French fries...service was good for a Sunday with moderate amount of customers...wheelchair friendly..

Third Base & Frozen Custard Parlor
202 Commerce St, OccoquanThird base pizza feels like a portal into another dimension. The service is good and quite unique. I felt so transported that I looked up if this town is haunted. Left feeling perplexed but in a good way. Saw a woman wearing a witches hat. Might Not be related, though.
