I came here today with my son to buy a couple of items for the house. We did our shopping for the week last Saturday but we had forgot to pick up a couple of things. The e biggest thing that we forgot was laundry detergent and shower gel. When we came in at around 2pm there were not that many people shopping inside the store, however there were many employees working in the aisles. While we're walking we noticed a couple of other items that we could use like raisin bran and marshmallows. Checking out was fast and easy because we always use the self- checkout. The air conditioner was the best thing about this place today!

There are three Giants within walking distance to me, and the one in Oakton and the new one over by Lee Highway have gone downhill fast. At both, you are forced to use the stupid and annoying "robo-checkout", which invariably goes awry. On Tuesday night at Oakton, there was only one register with a human being at it and that line was invariably long, so a few other people and I in the "robo" line waited so long for someone to come and "allow" a man to buy wine that I finally left my stuff on the conveyer belt and went to Whole Foods instead. At that same Giant a few weeks ago, I was shouted down because they had left an 11 month old yellow and red sale sign up for a beer and didn't want to honor the tag. ELEVEN MONTHS OLD. At the Lee Highway store, my wife was recently barked at by some snotty and angry young girl who told her repeatedly that "if it's not in the circular, it's not on sale!", even though there was a sale sign up on the item. As usual, there is NO manager around to check, so we just didn't buy it. Last night, at the same store, some pudgy little turd debated with me after I asked why there was only one open register out of ten with a human being at it - and that one person was scowling with disgust, I might add. My wife and I used to walk to the Oakton Giant three or four times a week for fresh food and to get exercise, but after last night, she is only going to Costco from now on. I have been going to Giant as my parents did their wholes lives, but now it's yet another once great Washington institution turned to garbage. As much as I dislike Bezos, it is now easier to order something online than to physically walk into a store. And Amazon doesn't argue with you.

Enjoy being treated like a criminal? Shop at any Giant these days, with their closed entrances and limited self-checkouts. This used to be my regular store, but I'll stick with the Safeway until Giant goes back to normal. The self-checkout experience at this location is especially bad. The employee manning the area will look over your shoulder the entire time, offering "helpful" advice. Just let me ring up my groceries in peace!

I went to this Giant for months. Rose is EXTREMELY rude and abusive, the staff is dismissive and unhelpful, and the customer service desk is almost never manned. The store manager is more focused on the bottom line than customer or employee care, and his underlings are incapable of holding a civil conversation. When you shop online, the team substitutes out of stock items with whatever they have on hand, not even making an effort to match items. They also mix chemical products and food in the same bag (I found Formula 409 in the same bag as strawberry cartons). This is not a one-time thing, either. It happens over and over. STAY AWAY.

This Giant is not bad, a little smaller than others I've been to in the area but overall good. My only complaint is one worker in the self check out area. I've been using this Giant frequently the last two years, and she always stands uncomfortably close to me when I'm checking out my things. Understandably, I know she's doing her job, but the many times she's done it, Ive noticed that she only singles out me or anyone "younger". She stands DIRECTLY behind me when I'm the only person there. Two customer came up to other registers, and she didn't even look in their direction, just continued to stare me down. I finally turned around and asked her if everything was okay, and of course it was snarky response back. This has happened to me MULTIPLE times.

I love going to Giant for my quick grocery needs. I usually shop at Costco for the basics and to buy things in bulk, but Giant always has the things I need in between. The staff here are very kind-- the same people have been working here for a long time, and a lot of high school students work here during breaks or after school as well. The sense of community here is warm, and it's always wonderful to see familiar faces here and there. There's a wide range of staple items and various brands at that. You'll always find what you need here, and if not, the staff here are always a great help.

I went shopping for a few items around 4:45 Oct. 25. I needed cigarettes so I took my items to the customer service area where cigarettes are sold. Nobody was there so I waited 2 minutes before giving up and leaving without buying anything. Went to 7-eleven instead for my needs this time. There were plenty of giant workers all around and not one designated for customer service, really sends the wrong message.

I shopped, at this store quite frequently, because I am close by in, Oakton, VA. I was shopping in the store and when there was the state policy about a a 5 cent charge for the plastic bags, which I started bringing in my own plastic bags. Well, the store manager ,who is Muslim, which I am not prejudice, because I have alot of Muslim friends, started watching me and looked to see, if I was stealing or what his problem was, sicko, I told him in person face to face I am not stealing. And ,then he backed off. He needs to learn some manners. And the prices of the stores in GIANT FOOD had skyrocketed so high ,everybody needs to go to WALMART ,THEIR PRICES ARE MUCH BETTER. AND DON'T CHARGE FOR PLASTIC BAGS !!

The manager was rude during my visit and the prices are expensive for what you get. You are better off at Whole Foods or trader joes.

I popped in the Giants in the Oakton Shopping Center late in the evening to pick up some items. Quiet, well laid out with a PNC Bank inside. If you are looking for a restroom it's behind the cashiers checking out.

THIS STORE SUCKS. WHY DO I COME HERE EXPECTING ANY MODICUM OF CUSTOMER SERVICE? Horrible. Go to Wegmans. Not to mention there is absolutely no Wi-Fi service. This place is a dump. It's just unbelievable to set yourself up for sub par customer care.

Management of the workers needs improvement. On multiple instances, my friends and I have had uncomfortable encounters with some employees. It's genuinely distressing and discourages us from wanting to continue shopping at this Giant. While they have a nice selection of food, floral gifts, and household items for a good cost, I will not continue shopping here. Please do something about this.

Stopped by this Giant Food location to pick up Sushi Rolls for dinner and do some grocery food shopping. This Giant Food location is clean and the Customer Service is OUTSTANDING!!! The Giant Food employees REALLY go out of their way to help you find your items. The FRESH SUSHI is very tasty - not like other Sushi made at other grocery stores.
