“My friends and I visited on the November DMB concert weekend and had the MOST AMAZING time. We thought that it would be chaotic with all of the people in town for the shows, but the place operated like a well-oiled machine with some of the kindest and most patient staff I have met anywhere. We had such a great time, we didn't want to leave! I will definitely be back. Well done!”

“We visited this property on Friday 5 April 2024. It's really out of the way if approaching from Afton but not so much if approaching from Charlottesville. We arrived from Afton and the last five miles were a one lane gravel road. If you remember that '70s movie Delivernace you could hear the Banjo playing. The first impression was that this is a low budget operation compared to places in Afton such as Pollak or Veritas. Don't let first impressions fool you. The money and the passion are in the wines here. If you enjoy fine wine in a non-pretentious environment then you should make the effort to find this vineyard. The server seemed far more widely travelled and knowledgeable than anyone else at the other vineyards we visited on this trip. Highly recommended,”

“Large brewery with a diverse selection of beverages (with and without alcohol). PRN has coupled with Dino's pizza for food. Lots of indoor & outdoor setting. Multiple fire pits. No shortage of parking. Easy access from to I64. PRN hosts music events and can host your event as well.”

“For a business traveller it largely meets the requirements. Plain, simple, clean. Grand lobby in front, big parking lot in back. Very plain, in fact, even compared to the usual. Everything in place but nothing seems just so. The water was warm, but not hot, the AC sounds a bit like a jet engine, the furniture just seems spare without being sophisticated. The staff are very nice, the neighborhood that's going up around it is dominated by slightly fancy outlet stores and matching restaurants. LL Bean, Brooks Brothers, Vineyard Vines, Trader Joe's. Feels safe, up-to-date, without having character; and it doesn't extend very far. The restaurants look serviceable for travel.Rooms: Sparse and very cleanNearby activities: Decent mid range restaurants.Food & drinks: Very simple and standard free breakfast. Attentive staff. Small bar and Starbucks coffee.”

“We found the place on Google. We went in at about 4 on April 27, 2024. There was 4 in our party and was seated right away. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. The marinara was delicious. My one and I ordered the French dip. My other son ordered a cheese burger and my grandson ordered kids cheese burger and cheese fries. The kids burger was almost as big as an adult burger. My French dip was Devine. Steak was over top the bun and the cheese melted perfectly. The dipping juice was just over the top when you dipped the sandwich in it. It was all hot and fresh and came out in a timely manner. The prices were not to bad . If we ever come back to this area again we would eat here in a minute!”

“Easy to get to and park, really close to grounds and the corner and a short trip to the downtown mall. The Inn was super accommodating for our engagement and were able to get me exactly the room I wanted and put my flowers in the room in advance. Easy to work with and a great price too with the Virginia resident discount. The room was very comfortable, bed super soft, ceiling fan and AC control in the room were nice bonuses. The soaker tub in the king suite was also unreal.”

“Oakhurst Inn was a special place to stay on my birthday and it has overwhelmingly attentive front desk and valet service. I spent my birthday here and it was a last minute plan after finding out my dog has a terminal illness. The staff were so kind and helpful. My trip to Charlottesville will be remembered for many reasons. It will be a fond memory and keepsake of this trip with my dog during this time in her life. Thank you, Oakhurst Inn for providing this service and making things so seamless. If you travel with pets, Oakhurst Inn offers select rooms. Call in advance to make sure one is available. They don't have a refrigerator in the room so plan ahead if you have any food or items that are perishable. Enjoy your stay with your furry friend.”
