“Always helpful. I remember when I brought my son in once years ago and they let him weigh his pinewood derby car for boy scouts in the official scale. It's a small post office - you trade the long lines at the central office for short lines and the occasional lack of packing supplies. Can't have it all - sometimes its just what you need though.”

“I have been using the Scottsville Post Office for many years and the people who work there are great! if people are having issues with the mail, you should realize that they have been working short-staffed for a very long time now; and the number of packages and mail have increased during the same time. Yes, they are human and make mistakes, but I can understand since they are severely overworked and rarely appreciated for what they do!”
“The Barracks Shopping Center post office is outstanding! I go out of my way to use this post office branch because it is so good - friendly, helpful and efficient. Kendrick and James should get 10 stars!The Charlottesville post office powers that be just reduced staffing at the Barracks branch from three people to two people. Lines can get long and, likely, the two remaining staff will become worn out. Another sad fail from the Charlottesville post office management. Ironic it's at the same time postage stamp rates increased to $.66. Is it any wonder the post office has trouble keeping staff.”

“By far the best customer service I’ve ever seen.
I went to this location for passport services after my appointment in Richmond was cancelled. No post offices in Richmond would answer their phones and all had extremely limited walk-in passport service options. This location answered their phones and were very empathetic to my situation.
Both employees at this location were extremely friendly and very efficient. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. They answered all questions I had in a very clear manner and overall provided a great experience.
I highly recommend this location for any USPS needs.”
