Inside the store I've had indifferent service with the store clerks, but no major complaints other than the usual slowness and apathy of minimum wage service workers. The pharmacy is worse, because I expect to deal with competent people when it comes to medicine. The pharmacy staff seems to turn over constantly. Several times I've received phone calls from the store telling me that my regular monthly prescription was waiting to be picked up. Then when I get to the pharmacy, the worker tells me they have nothing for me. Several times they have not even been able to find my account in the computer. I've gotten the feeling that they just want me to go away and not bother them by making them do any work. It's convenient to my house, but after six months of consistently terrible service at the pharmacy, I'm ready to try another place.

THE WORST! And so rude! I had pictures printed from Snapfish of my husband and I. When I went to pick them up I was told from the very rude Assistant Manager that I couldn't have them unless I showed her a print release.... They were pictures taken from my iPhone and from my best friends camera. I informed her that they weren't professional photos that needed a print release and she stated that they were "too good of quality." ANYONE with a good camera or a good phone can take a quality picture. So I left the store without my pictures. I also use this Walgreens' pharmacy but if a manager is going to be so rude then I won't be back.

Whew! Talk about nasty, nasty, nasty! I gave it one star for being greeted by someone when I walked in, but boy, I'll tell you...it seems everyone goes into hiding when they think someone might need help. I actually went in to find something for my son. When I couldn't find it, I figured the young woman (I won't call her a lady) in the pharmacy would be able to help me or she could ask the pharmacist. She was all decked out with a Santa hat and a string of Christmas lights around her neck, so I assumed her personality would be as cheerful as she portrayed. NOT! First, she tried not to acknowledge me and when I walked to the counter, she asked me to move back while she quickly found herself chatting with an employee that was clocking out about whatever affairs they would be engaging in later (totally not work-related). As I waited patiently, she decided to walk around and do nothing...literally, nothing. She could have at least pretended to be busy. Nothing speaks louder than a person's actions. I find it SO convenient when employees make sure that their ID tags are turned backward so they can't be identified. Perhaps she was hoping I would go away and she wouldn't have to be bothered. Since I didn't feel like running all over town for an item that I knew they carried, I waited. Reluctantly, she came over with an attitude and asked me what I needed. When I asked her where I could find this particular medicine, she shrugged her shoulders and said she never heard of it. I pulled it up on my phone and showed her that they did indeed carry it. She stated she didn't know what I was talking about. She didn't offer to have someone help, she didn't offer to ask the pharmacist, and she sure was going to help. I asked her if she would ask the pharmacist. He never heard of it and wasn't eager to offer assistance either. I asked them both if they could get someone to help. Surely, someone that works there has to know especially those that stock the shelves. The cashier loudly called for someone. Surprise! They came out of hiding. The woman that responded knew exactly where the product was and I was able to quickly retrieve it and check out. Upon checking out, the elderly lady working the register greeted me again and was pleasant. The one star is for her. She needs to find a place to work where people are nice like her. Honestly, I could have waited in the long line of customers to ask her to begin with, but I was trying to save time since my son was not feeling well and I wanted to get him something to provide relief as soon as possible. My recommendation? Spend a couple of extra minutes to run across the street to Walmart and find what you need. I would have if it were a product that Walmart carried.

The Walgreens at 1169 N Military Highway in Norfolk, Virginia is a nice Walgreens with great selection and friendly staff. We also like that they get involved with local initiatives, like offering flu shots.

Love this Walgreens , staff is always very friendly . Never had any issues there ! Use the pharmacy, a little shopping and even use the app to get canvas prints and wood panels ... so easy! Just upload your picture and as long as you have a good or atleast decent quality camera pictures always come out great , you can even write little messages on the pictures ! Did one for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day and one of my daughter with a little message to her grandma !
