Probably not gonna use this Walgreens pharmacy again. I've been in lines twice the size at cvs and it didn't take as long. I understand being patient but even after waiting for 45 min they forgot one of my prescriptions. The only reason I didn't give a one star rating is because the girl the helped me was nice. But it was a pretty bad experience altogether.

Pharmacist here won't give birth control. Completely disregards Virginia law, acts clueless- I ended up going to CVS and getting the very birth control the Walgreens pharmacists all denied me.

Their pharmacy is unprofessional and difficult to get ahold of. I had to call 7 times to figure out what was wrong with my prescription and they constantly left me on hold and then hung up on me once the call was on hold for longer than 5 minutes so I would have to recall and be placed on hold AGAIN. Once I finally got a hold of them, I asked them to make sure not to get the generic version of my medication. The generic version is well known among pharmacists as an awful and cheap product that induces the worst side effects. Of course they then lied to me and said they ordered the brand version but guess what came in ?? The generic version. Instead of following my doctors prescription and the exact instructions on them asking for the brand version and listening to me after I specifically called to confirm they were ordering the brand version, I got the shitty generic version. I ended up calling the Walgreens in Portsmouth and the pharmacist there was lovely and told me this Walgreens was wrong for changing my prescription order to the generic medication without telling me or even trying to order the brand version. Probably just wanted to pawn off their awful generic medication sitting on their shelves that no one wants. What they were supposed to do was check if the warehouse had my brand version and order that instead. The Portsmouth pharmacist did the right thing and ordered the brand medication for me and I will be picking it up tomorrow. However, because of this Walgreens huge mistake, I will be missing a few days of my medication and will have side effects due to missing it including bleeding. Cool.

Ended up changing Walgreens because every time I would call, they would pick up and hang up on me because they were too busy. This most recent time they put me on hold for half a hour, picked up, then hung up. So annoying.

my wife was discharged today from her C-section. The prescription was sent to Walgreens. And she opted in for the text message updates well several hours went by and nothing. She was in a lot of pain I called the pharmacy to get an update and the voice AI whatever you wanna call it asked what I needed. So I asked for an update, put in all the info and it said that the prescription was still in progress so a few more hours went by, and nothing. I went to the Walgreens to figure out what's going on and they haven't filled the prescription because there was a problem with the insurance so they didn't send a text or anything to let us know and now I'm waiting another hour for the prescription. My wife is lying in bed crying with the newborn baby because she's in so much pain.Walgreens y'all need to fix your system!

I had my doctor send my prescription here to be filled. I went in and they took my information as I had not used Walgreens in the past. The person I spoke with entered in my information, and told me my prescription would be ready in an hour. That's great!I go back 3 hours later after running errands, and the pharmacist assists me. She asks my name, and I give her my married name which is on my insurance. She says "you mean [maiden name]" (which is my middle name on the insurance). I say, "Sure." She very rudely goes "Have you been here before?" I said, "Yes, I was here 3 hours ago." She tells me they don't carry my medication, but they can order it for me. This is a Saturday so I ask when it will be ready, and she tells me Monday. That's fine!I go back Monday after work, and this time I'm talking to a different person - a man in scrubs. He asks my name so I give him my maiden name. I kid you not, he goes, "You mean [married name]." I go, "Sure." He tells me they don't have anything ready for me and asks what I'm picking up. I tell him, and he says "Oh, we haven't gotten that medication for a long time, and even when we order it, they don't send it. I know because I unload the trucks." I ask him what I'm supposed to do then, and he says, "I would try CVS."So heed his advice, I guess. Go to CVS because this place won't have what you need.

I've been a customer at this pharmacy location for many years, but lately, I've noticed that the staff needs training and/or has an attitude toward customers. When I went there to pick up my medicine, the person serving me kept me waiting for over half an hour, supposedly trying to find my records on the computer. They told me that I wasn't showing any health insurance coverage and that my medicine would cost me $150.00. I called my insurance agent, and she double-checked with the insurance company and confirmed that I had an active policy. When I returned two weeks later, there was a new person serving customers at the pharmacy counter, and they handled the transaction in less than five minutes, and my medicine cost me $12.00. When I questioned the new person about my previous experience, they had nothing to say but 'well, it's maybe her, and it's maybe the computer.' Be careful not to pay out of pocket because this has happened to my husband in another pharmacy, too. Overall, I feel frustrated with the pharmacy staff's attitude toward customers and their lack of training, and I hope that they can improve their service.

If i could rate no stars i would waited almost an hour on hold just for them to finally come to the phone just for them to hang up on me all i wanted to know is if they had a certain medication in stock before i drove all the way to the pharmacy ???

I've been going to Walgreens Pharmacy on Tidewater Dr. for about a year. Excellent service, really professional, and the pharmacy would call me just to check in. 2 months ago I moved and the 21st Street location is my new pharmacy. Horrible service in this pharmacy. No customer service skills, and very unprofessional. I was there the other day and the pharmacist that was helping me, I believe her name is, Keneta. Either she's new or she has no training. She has the worse attitude. After that experience I had to relocate to another Pharmacy and it's not Walgreens

My family and I signed up for the Covid 19 booster using the app - even received the confirmation email. Showed up for the appointment just to be told there is no vaccine available. This is no way to do business. They do not value their customers or their time. Avoid!
