Outstanding customer service. Super friendly and helpful. They operate a business the way it should be done and it shows. And they have a great selection of furniture as well. We've bought from them twice and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. I can't recommend them enough.

I worked with them on two different occasions and had a great experience each time. When I was moving to Norfolk, they spent the time to help me pick out what I wanted and they were able to deliver quickly. If you are new to the area, I highly recommend starting here.

I had a terrible experience at IKEA, which led me to looking for other places to furnish my apartment. Best customer service hands down! David was very knowledgeable and welcoming, they had a great selection and reasonable prices. The delivery was also surprisingly fast and efficient. I don’t know where that 4 star review came from but it’s a 6/5 for me.

Marcy was really very nice. I called her today to tell her. How nice it is to sit in my recliner. It has so much support. I love the different positions. I've never had a recliner before I'm sure. I'm glad I have one now. Marcy was really cool. She didn't try to sell me a share I didn't want and she showed me a chair that I would like and I really did after she was listening to what I said I wanted. Do people when I went to pay my bill and get information how it was going to be delivered and when the gentleman there was very very nice help me through all that so I thought very comfortable. When I walked out of the store I thought sure that I have my chair in one or two days the next. I think it was really. The people that brought to share to me were very nice. Brought the chair right in set it up for me. Make sure it worked and they left want more could you ask for?. Thank you to all especially Marcy. Have a beautiful day..

If I could leave more stars I would! Being new to the area, we chose this company based on previous reviews, and they fully lived up to the praise. They are a family-owned business that treats customers like friends. They had everything we wanted at competitive prices and about half of the pieces we were able to get same day - which would NEVER happen at a chain store. The pieces that had to be ordered came quickly, and they communicated to us every step of the way so we knew when to expect everything. Everyone was incredibly nice from the sales floor to the guys who delivered the furniture. We definitely go back and would recommend to any and all!

After researching and visiting several furniture stores, I finally found Virginia Furniture Company in Norfolk, VA. I was intrigued by its perfect ratings (5 stars) from its previous customers, and discovered that this business truly deserves this rating. I like that it is a family business still run by its family members (third generation) and sales staff who adhere to the true and tried business principles of providing excellent customer service and treating their customers well. Sadly, it seems to be a novel concept at other furniture stores like Rooms to Go, Haynes Furniture, Value City Furniture, Haverty's Furniture, and Ashley Furniture. What a waste of time it was going to these stores as I saw a lot of sales people just standing around either filing their nails, staring at their computer screens, or texting friends/family on their phones. Most sales representatives at these other stores ignored customers standing around who were obviously waiting for service.Do yourself a favor and go to the Virginia Furniture Company if you want to be treated as if your time is valuable and your business is worthwhile. They have a wide selection of furniture, both in the showroom as well as various catalogs, to fit most tastes and budgets. The staff will work with you to make sure you find exactly what you want, and for a price that you can afford. Virginia Furniture Company also provides free delivery and free haul away for most locations (I was out of area in Williamsburg, but the delivery fee was very reasonable). Their experienced delivery staff will even contact you on the date of delivery and keep you fully informed as to their progress to your location.The staff at Virginia Furniture Company will also follow-up after delivery to make sure you are happy with your purchase. What more can you ask for or expect from any business? Although it may be anachronistic for a business to actually care about its customers and treat them well, it is obviously why their customers rated them so highly and return for repeat business. Go find out for yourself and experience what is sorely missing at other businesses elsewhere.
