The only bank I've ever been to that doesn't want to count money. The only bank I've ever been to that gives you an attitude every time there's a large deposit made. Do not create a business account with this establishment, take your business elsewhere. Ideally to a financial institution that doesn't give you a hard time about accepting your money. This particular branch is ALWAYS empty, there is never a line yet they ALWAYS have complaints about large deposits because they don't want to take the time to count it. As if they have better things to do with their time in this empty establishment. And the staff is not at all friendly or welcoming. You'll be inconveniencing the bank teller by doing business with them. Do not recommend

I have banked here for a few years with no issue until applying for the SBA PPP loan through this branch of Towne Bank. My application was submitted the first day the program was available and we got the run around every time we gave more information. Then when we think it’s done days go by and we were told the application process changed and we’ll need to fill out a new one. I had that returned in one day and am told we didn’t get ours in time. This bank will not make you a priority unless you are big business. We won’t be using them for much anymore. People I know at other Towne branches got approved in two days with no second application.

I have had the worst experiences at this branch of Towne Bank and it is quite sad because I know this is not an accurate representation of them as a brand. I continue to have issues with the tellers and the management when myself or someone from my team comes in to do deposits. I have been told that it will take too long to count our money. I have been told that they will not take extra change that is not enough to fill the rolls. I have been told that I cannot come in without an appointment because it is too much money to count, mind you $2000 is not considered a lot of money. We have had problem after problem with this branch and its getting to the point where we are going out of our way to visit other branches because this one pretty much says they don't want our money. I love Towne Bank but this branch in particular has put a bad taste in my mouth about the bank as a whole and some serious retraining on their guidelines needs to be done here. I can imagine that customers are being lost due to the lack of customer service at this branch.

I saw Adam and he was able to handle everything I needed and was very helpful with answering all my questions. Whenever I have to come to the bank, if I see Adam I know I will be taken care of and that it’ll be a good day. Today he was filling in as a banking officer and I think he did such a great job that he should do that more often if not be considered for a permanent position there.

Not a very pleasant branch, or employee "Teller" I have been a Towne Bank member since they opened in Va and due to my job I travel. There are no branches nor atleast 1 employ that I personally know at all locations on the peninsula and NC however today I was in Norfolk going to DePaul Hospital with my son to see his surgeon for a post OP follow up appointment just before the hospital I seen a Towne bank, my son an I went inside the bank instead of the drive through due to being 30 mins early for his appointment becuase we looked up traffic before heading from Yorktown to Norfolk and there was a 6 mile back up. Therefore I passed 2 towne banks and thought if we get over to Norfolk early I will just Google one over there and go there. We both needed to use restroom so I said let's just go inside and I will make my deposit an we can use restroom there becuase I know they are clean. When I approached the counter and said hello got my cash out of my wallet and as I was filling out my deposit I ask her where the restroom was so he could go ahead as I did my deposit then I would go after I finished with my banking business. She looked at me with this very puzzled look and said oh we dont allow yall to go back there! I said go back where? I'm just asking where the restroom is located. We dont have a restroom for the public, I said really the public, I completely understand not letting people walk in off the streets to use the restroom, I am a Towne bank member and I have never been inside a Towne bank that I have ask to use the restroom and been denied. I just said with a smile that is really bazaar, first time ever!! It must be alot different in Norfolk than every other location. The building inside and out of course was just as BEAUTIFUL as every other Towne Bank . I just really can't believe that she would not let us or atleast him use the restroom. I'm in complete shock about this, I definitely dont feel safe at all over there if they cant even trust a member of many years to use the restroom. Very unhappy with this kind of treatment from a bank that I have been doing business with for several years, even if I'm a new face to her or the location its obvious she can and did see my account information.I must add she quickly handled my deposit and was not very nice when she handed me my receipt.

I came in today and was politely greeted by the lady in the front . There was only me and another gentleman in the bank. I was rudely asked to come to bank teller Georgia's teller station.I told her what I needed done, She moved at lightning speed throughout the transaction and didn't say a word. At the end she counts my money out so fast I wasn't even able to count it. I told her that she was moving super fast for nobody being in here. She told me “nobody can keep up with me, I've been doing this for twenty years!â€.... she was rude and I don't recommend seeing her.
