Smartbox saved my move after multiple companies informed me last minute that their capabilities would cause inconvenient modifications to my plans. Robert @ the Norfolk office killed it for us. The driver/delivery driver provided some of the best service by asking what I needed, stating any limitations he had and he didn’t hesitate to get the job done. Everything was on time and we had no damaged items.

Smartbox provided great customer service up until they had my money and all of my belongings. Their poor communication and unreachability have led to me and my family being homeless. I'm hoping this review leads to a change of heart, please help me Smartbox!

Do not use this company. It pains me terribly to give them one star because zero isn't an option. I'll give you a some backstory below, but if you're not interested in reading that, just take my advice and stay away. They are awful.

Smartbox was perfectly helpful until they had my credit card on file and all of our possessions in their facility. Extremely poor communication, quality of boxes, and coordination efforts. Please avoid. Anything else would be better.

I love that they drop off the boxes at your home. No having to rent a truck, or make multiple trips, or need to hire a moving company. I put my items in storage for about 8 months. The experience was great except 1 of my 3 boxes had a moisture spot when I was unloading and found that a bag of my pillows were all moldy. Nothing else in the box seems to have been damaged. I'm annoyed but things for the most part went well. Make sure you get mattress bags and keep your items covered well.

Please please please do not get fooled into a contract. Their business practices are extremely shady, and they will do everything in their will to make any of their mistakes YOUR FAULT.
