I’ve lived here for about 2-3 years now and if I’m being completely transparent and honest I think the experience a resident has here, past & present, depends on the building that they’re in and what floor. If you’re looking for the “Luxury” experience, go somewhere else. This is not the place for that. These are just regular apartments. You will have a love hate relationship the longer you live here. Most of the complaints about office staff, maintenance, security and parking are true (from my experience so far).
I wish the office staff was more knowledgeable of the complex that they’re renting apartments from because sometimes as a current resident we do have questions that we expect you to know the answers to. The maintenance supervisor, no complains about her, she can only handle what her staff reports. Some of the people who work for her are indeed lazy. If we’re told to go to maintenance for all apartment issues, we shouldn’t have to raise hell just for things to get done. We should literally just have to report it once and go from there.
Parking is first come first serve. Most of the people who live here have more than one car, so if you don’t get here early enough you’ll be stuck with street parking and that’s already congested enough. Security you’ll see like 3 times during the day, they sit in one spot sometimes. Get some sort of security camera if you have an issue honestly and go from there.
Other than that, for the price they’re decent enough apartments, grocery stores less than 5 miles from where you live and the beach is 5 mins away. Hope this helps.

Pinewood gardens is 5 stars in my books.
Living here has been peaceful and office staff and maintenance is incredibly helpful.
When I applied the application process was a breeze, the lease signing was very informative and didn’t take long at all.

Living at pinewood gardens has truly been a 5 star experience, it has 3 beautiful pools. an awesome fitness center (which i love is key fob controlled) it gives that extra security! the maintenance team is always on top of everything and it’s so great when i call the office i’m always greeted with a smile i can hear and feel from over the phone, i don’t understand how both maintenance and the office do it and keep everything so level with how big of a community it is but they’re awesome and i’m so appreciative! i’ve lived here since june and i’ve loved every second of it. will 100% be renewing my lease when it’s time.

New tenant here. My husband and I just moved in thanks to our leasing consult Casonya Jack. She was great and really made the process easy. I feel she is the whole reason we committed to moving into the neighborhood from the first day after our tour. Thank you so much for giving us a home to welcome our soon to be newborn in.

Nice, quiet, and safe community. Fast turn around time when maintenance is called and the people from the rent office don't bother much. My main issue with this property is parking. Yes we have a parking decal but when you have multiple cars or is having a hard time getting your car a new inspection sticker we have to park on the street. That wouldn't be bad at all if there was possibly lines outlining parking because the newer residents seem to have an issue with spacing causing it to be less street parking than before. It would be very helpful if lines was put down for street parking. Office staff could be better trained. I called in for information in regards to a letter I received on my door. The woman in the office told me something completely different than what was on the letter. I kept asking her questions where she eventually placed me on hold and I assume asked for the answer because when she got back on the phone the information made a lot more sense and coincided with the letter. Office staff need to understand that their lack of concern to give proper information puts residents livelihood at stake. If I didn't know to keep asking questions than I would have had the wrong information and probably have been charged a fee when I did what the letter said and called for more information.

All of the other reviews here will either tell you it is the worst place to live or the best. The folks who say it is the best only have applied. If you are one of pinewoods residents you're SOL on everything. We have had service techs leave the gas to our stove on and when I came home my apt was full of gas. Pinewoods did nothing. After a lengthy construction my block got infested with roaches. Pinewoods did nothing. My car got broken into and when I called Pinewoods. Surprise! nothing.
This place is a wonderful place to apply to. Not to live. The staff is horrendous and forgetful. I have seen more accidents and crime outside my window then anywhere else I have lived.
You will be sitting on your porch and hear a man screaming for help at the top of his lungs.
TLDR: Don't.

Jade and Caitlyn are so friendly and professional. I love when I walk into their office and they are present to help me. I was having issues recently and they were able to guide me through the whole process without me getting stressed or confused. Thank you two so much for your guidance. Y’all are amazing!

Pretty satisfactory experience, been living here a couple months. The office is pretty good at communicating if you are interested in applying and in the process of signing, I have had a bit of a delay afterwards, they are very busy it seems. And Casonya in the office is great! She is very personable and went out of her way to help me when I had an issue during move in and she had taken the day off. Excellent customer service! The community seems generally safe, parking is pretty tight at times on the road, it's a squeeze to pass through with other cars going the other way, but ya know.. Norfolk. I can usually find a parking space most hours of the day. It's generally on the quieter side, with some average shared living noises in the building. The price is adequate for the quality and current market prices.

One of the reasons bai moved herebwas for the fitness center. I WALKED OVER THERE TODAY SIGN CLOSED WITH NO TIMEFRAME.I CALLED THE OFFOCE THEY HAD NO ANSWER AND REALLY WASNT CONCERNED. MY QUESTION OS WHY ARE PAYING FOR THIS. 5 years I been a resident time to go.

I am so impressed right now. I toured and applied today. The process was seamless. All office staff made me feel welcome. I personally worked with Jade and had some help from Melonie. Very professional. The units are very clean, updated. The grounds were landscaped and parking was accessible.

So far so good! Our leasing agent Casonya is an angel. I am new to "adulting" so her and Jade have been my saving grace throughout this entire process. Maintenace has been responsive so far, I did have some damage upon move in and that's to be expected with any apartment. The carpet is a pretty color, the kitchen is renovated with granite countertops and black appliances and a gorgeous backsplash, the bathroom has plenty of room, and there is an abundance of closet space! The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and pet friendly! I am going to be transparent about some of the leasing agents not being nearly as nice or patient. Other than that, the complex is beautiful, quiet, safe, and comfortable! Rent and other payments are clear so you always know what you're paying for. Parking is great although sometimes you can't find a space that's close to your complex. They do, however, have disability parking, and they accommodate to those who do not have decals. Overall, I recommend Pinewood Gardens to anyone that is apartment hunting. Rent is affordable, the staff is extremely helpful, and everything is done punctually! You won't regret it! I will update if necessary (if anything changes), but so far it's been great for me!
