The place is ok but has no gym or pool. Often have to deal with loud talking and phone conversations. People lack basic gym etiquette. I think the manager has an Onlyfans

Great staff. Thomas at the front was great friendly. Good layout and machines. Sauna great. Bench press was good

The equipment is good; however, it is oftentimes way too cramped to be able to use any of it. The space is not big enough to hold the amount of people who frequent it at peak hours; 5-7 pm. Also, the cancellation process is awful; it should simply not be that difficult to cancel!! The contracts are set up in a dirty way in which you are on the hook for far more than you signed up for. Also, in communication with employees, they all have a certain aura of rudeness. Before I wrote this review, I read a few others and saw one of OneLife's replies along the lines of "thank you so much for your one-star review". They come off as passive-aggressive and slightly rude is what I am trying to portray. I had very similar passive-aggressive responses when I tried to cancel my membership. Also, the parking is an absolute ZOO! I am a woman who used to visit the gym when it was dark outside and once a very scary man came up to me out of the shadows and started screaming crude things at me while following me before I entered the facility. The gym doesn't seem to do much about the fact that they are in an oftentimes unsafe area. In all, it's a money-grabbing gym, but what gym isn't? Just be weary before you join and seriously consider other gyms in the area before signing a trap-seaking contract.

1/13: Again, I preface this by saying Monticello is usually one of the better OneLife’s. But whose grand idea it was to shut down the parking lot to repave during the likely most busiest weeks of the year in January?! There were 11 other months better suited, not to mention street parking is still limited due to the obtrusive dumpster you still have out there.10/28: Most days this is one of the better OneLife’s. But today, at 0930, it took multiple customers telling the front desk that paper towels were out in the weight room. Not 1, not 2, but at least 5. Then it was an excuse as to “housekeeping” not making their rounds. Excuse me, you work here too. Not to mention with 5 out it means someone wasn’t doing something the night prior. Sounds more like laziness.

I really enjoy Onelife Fitness. They have a nice variety of different classes to try out. Most of the gym staff and class instructors that I've come across has been delightful! The only thing I hate, is that they took away the theater room with cardio equipment and turned it into a training room. I was in love with the theater rm. I got so much cardio done in there because while being entertained, I felt like noone could see me or judge me ? as I struggled to reach my distance. Keep up the good job with supplying such a wonderful workout space and if possible GIVE ME BACK MY THEATER RM FOR CARDIO. ?

While this is not my home gym, I come to this gym multiple times a week because the staff are friendly and helpful. The Mixxed Fit and Dance Fusion classes are always a guaranteed calorie burn of at least 600-700 calories per class for me. Also, the gym is aesthetically beautiful.

Johnson is strange. He likes crunch bars and Lumas from Mario Galaxy. Ryland, on the other hand, needs to be regional manager ASAP! He always manages to make people smile. Please promote him NOW

Onelife Norfolk is in a gorgeous 3-story historic building. It’s huge and it has everything - tons of weights and machines, a great variety of classes every day, a quiet women’s-only workout area, a sauna, personal trainers, childcare, tanning, clean locker rooms, and even a small shop. The front-desk staff is friendly and helpful. Yanni gave me a tour, answered all my questions clearly, and made signing up a breeze. The app is really convenient for checking in and signing up for classes, and the classes are the best part. Unlimited classes are included, and the yoga instructors and spin instructors are especially incredible.

I had been a member of this gym for two years, and have had no issues with any of the locations except the Norfolk one. Bear in mind these issues are for someone that goes to the gym at opening time.Over the past year, cleanliness has been what you'd expect to see in a third world market: weights are never stacked from the night before, trash is left in the cubby lockers, the men's locker room sinks and the sauna are never cleaned, locks are left on lockers overnight, etc. And, don't worry, admin: I don't expect a response on here (since you never do anything about those quarterly surveys). Happy to say I, along with two others, am leaving this gym for a competitor.

Overall excellent Fitness Center in all aspects, OneLife Fitness Norfolk fully lives up to its name and then some. Can't wait to get there again & again! My own results to date have been very rewarding in all aspects; my own "onelife" is on a favorable trajectory!

The gym overall is nice there is an Asian lady that works in childcare who is so great with the kids and my baby girl loved her she was actually the first person my daughter ever hugged, we did have a bad experience with the white man checking people in with a Mohawk. He was very rude and every time we checked in prior to cancelling our membership he would tell us our membership was already canceled and refused to let us in without getting his manager because "it was above his pay grade" mind you we already paid for that whole month! This guy literally freakin did this to us about 10 times! If you bring this up to him I guarantee he will know who you are talking about because like I said it happened 10 whole different days! And while somehow any other time we would check in with someone else there wasn't a problem and they would let us in and give us the chip for our daughter. I would've given this place 5 stars but the white man with the Mohawk ruined that.

I went to Onelife looking for change and I found it! The gym has all the equipment you could need and plenty of green to give you the space to do what you want. My trainer Chris has made me excited to go to the gym again and has me wanting to stay. Between help with technique, supplement recommendations, extra workouts, and messages throughout the week there’s nothing more I could ask for support in reaching my goals ?
