Never answers the phones but when we pull up they’re all chatting it up in the lobby. How tf are you a “spay and neuter” clinic who doesn’t offer spay and neuter????????? Tried to reach this place for MONTHS through email and phone call. Finally just showed up to the place to be told they don’t offer spay and neuter. HUH?????

As a foster and volunteer with Mastiff Rescue of Virginia, finding affordable clinics that we can trust is a priority for us. NSPCA has been a vital resource for us over the last two years. Many of our foster/rescues have been spayed or neutered here, and every visit has been phenomenal (from the human point of view at least). It is not easy finding clinics for dogs that can weigh up-to, and over, 200lbs.

EXCEPTIONAL TEAM!
I have had pets for over 20 years and my experience here was far above any and all expectations. The customer service and care from start to finish was the best I have seen - I knew my dog was in great hands from the beginning!
With my job, I am not the easiest person to reach but the team went above and beyond to make contact with me after I sent the email to request an appointment for my dog to be neutered. After scheduling the appointment, they ensured I had the required paper work completed and turned in on time and answered every question with care and patience even when extremely busy.
In the time I was in the clinic, the team was either helping a customer in person, or on the phone and I watched them provide the same extraordinary customer service and care I received.
I am so grateful for this amazing team, words really can’t describe how fantastic they truly are!

mention, the gave a good timeframe to show up in the morning. Customer service and care was fantastic!

I've been calling for an hour to ask a question..I just get voice mail recording to leave my info..then it starts ringing again.. doesn't give an option to leave my name and number..guess I have to drive there just to ask a question ?
Update:..went up there to ask my question..came back 2 days later to get the puppies started on their shots..I came real early and was 1st in line..I'm changing my 1 ⭐, to a 5⭐ rating..Thanks, Freddy Murphy and Chucky??

A bunch of scammers. I paid for my dog’s neuter surgery up front because they cancelled my previous appointment and they had to rent out the Neuter Scooter from the VBSPCA since their surgeon went on emergency leave. I had followed the instructions to not feed him the night before but he still managed to throw up during his check up while I was filling out his paperwork. They refused to refund me because it was a deposit. They also didn’t disclose to me that the deposit was non refundable when I made the appointment. Then they proceeded to say the money went towards renting out the Bus as if it was my fault their surgeon had to take a leave of absence. My dog is a nervous puker and will even throw up water if he gets too riled up. This economy is rough as it is and I don’t make enough money to be dropping $150+ whenever I feel like it, it’s not right.

Front facing customer service and care can be a rewarding and challenging profession. You deal with people on their best and worst days and are called to provide an excellent experience in spite of what you may be dealing with. The staff here are exceptional and do just that in the face of short staffing, back logged resources and the many pets and pet parents that walk through their doors for answers and care. I’ve had my own unique experience with SPCA and the two subsequent visits for my senior pup have been great. Sam, Katie and Genny show up brightly and provide care, suggestions and resources that are helpful to care and advocate for my pup better. I appreciate that they are personable, professional and choose to be kind; thank you, ladies, for taking good care of us.
