It has been good thus far. The maintenance team responds quickly. The young man Shane on the maintenance team. Always does a good job & leaves my apartment clean when he finishes. I can always tell when he answers my calls. He also explains what he needs to do & ask permission to come in if i am not home.

Rented for two years. Maintenance and front desk responsiveness was high. Rent didn’t change over the two years. I also received my security deposit back in a timely manner. I don’t expect the world just fair business and they held up their end of the bargain. I would recommend.

Marian, Shannon , and Audrey are awesome ! They were so welcoming and informative ! The amenities are great and they even offer valet trash services. Parking is right across the street and the building has many access points . Packages are alway secure in Luxor package room. Recommend coming here

Been here 2 years & besides the location, nothing is good about this place. Andrew & Joe were very good, transparent office managers when I initially moved in. The new people Shannon & Marian are very unlikable. They never do anything for anyone, just a bunch of excuses as to why they can't do it. One of the residents on my floor has been waiting so long for a replacement key from them, I just let him have my key fob because no one should struggle to enter their home. This current management is by far the worst. The call box / key fob system has been broken on and off for over a year. The elevators are repeatedly broken. Gnats are everywhere. The amenities are poor. The game/communities are not well kept. This apartment complex is not worth the asking price

The staff at Metro Apartments in Norfolk are amazing, Shannon, Marian and Audrey were a huge help making the whole move experience easier. Each individual played a part to making sure my apartment would suit my needs. Great management team!

if you ask me DO NOT RENT! When it was in the cold months I was out of heat for weeks! Had to take me and my kids to a hotel it was horrible!! Also the office staff that’s Marian, Shanon, Audrey are ALWAYS discombobulated and never seem to be sure of when ANYTHING will get fixed or done. What bothers me the most is every time I come into the office Marian the “supposed” property (MANAGE)R is ALWAYS on her phone behind her computer doing absolutely nothing!!!! She sits at the end of the table and hides behind her computer and does NOTHING she knows NOTHING, she can never tell me ANYTHING and Shannon is always the one that has to swoop in and do her job for her!! and it’s making your company look bad! EVERYTIME I ask Marian a question she panics and ask one of the other staff, it’s truly pathetic! and now I am starting to have a bad taste in my mouth about Lindsey the (regional manager) for not replacing Marian still and allowing this woman to run her property into the ground. I am NOT renewing and I cannot wait to leave !! Please DO NOT try to take down my review as I am entitled and have rights to make my own review as everyone else! Thank you! and if it is I have copied and paste this review into my notes so there’s no problem pasting it back up here EVERYTIME you try to take it down.!!! Thank you!! #getridofmarian

Metro on Granby you gotta love this place! I just moved out today because I’m relocating out of state but if I could I would have lived here another 5 years! This management is super kind and very helpful. I only had two maintenance request in the two years I lived here. Both times they were taken care of the very next day. For the price you pay you get a decent sized apartment right on Granby walking distance to the best food, bars, sights, and everything Norfolk has to offer. Highly recommend checking the place out of your looking to live in the heart of downtown Norfolk!

we applied she denied us told us we were basically lying about receiving bah then told us after we had already paid the app fee that we owe 250 because we held the apartment when she definitely denied us dont go through the trouble they are unprofessional and dont want your service

The apartments themselves are okay and the location is great but the management company is the worst experience I've had in apartments. Multiple charges for features that don't actually exist (pest control fee when theres wasps nest all over the balconies and drain flies)and charges for features added mid lease that you have no say in like the trash service (which is nice in theory until they hit you with extra fees associated with it. Multiple security issues in terms of people who don't live here getting let into the building and mail getting broken into and stolen. Parking garage used by most residents also has several reports of vehicles being broken into.

I applied for residency here with my wife almost 3 weeks ago, and was constantly told to provide more information and more paperwork, only to find out that we were denied because we were overqualified. Now mind you my wife is a waitress and I don’t make over 2000 a month so how is that over qualification. I had to leave emails constantly because they wouldn’t answer or call back when I left voicemails. I feel as though it was very discriminative towards me and my wife. If I could I wouldn’t even give it one star.

Review 2/2 The door to apartment 12 leads directly into the alley nearest the dumpsters, so enjoy the wonderful trash smell when opening the door daily with the constant banging of trash lids and yelling that Plaza Azteca and Canvas decide to conduct at 11pm - 12am. The fry/cooking vent for the restaurants is directly next to your dryer vent and the apartment will smell like deep fried goods all day if you forget to shut the dryer door (don't leave your clothes in the dryer or they WILL smell like burnt oil). There's no security system for Apartment 12 so people are constantly trying to open your front door/yelling/smoking pot. Every Thursday AA meets from 9:20pm to 10:45pm right outside the downstairs windows and is loud and obnoxious (see pic). I can only imagine what they were like when they were on the drink. As of today the security system on both buildings are not 100% operational, a homeless gentleman was found in a hallway sleeping (corrected as of February 2022, new system installed). There have been many reports of theft, as packages disappeared from the mail room. The management company partnered with a packaging secure locker company (progress after years and years of package thefts). Maintenance came into my apartment without consent. I left a message with the manager Tuesday at 3pm (within normal business hours) to pick up the equipment the contractor had left behind I scheduled it for Wednesday (the next day) approximately 2-3pm. I waited, nobody showed up I figured they were busy. I'm using the bathroom when maintenance comes into my home and knocks on my bedroom door, manager never looked at when I first called. Jay the maintenance supervisor has his hands full, he's limited by the managing owners/ project managers of SL Nusbaum Realty Co. to fully address the situation. One might say "it's under new management, so it will change!" So far it hasn't, and I see no progress or communication to say differently. Also the gate that everyone uses to access the Freemason garage is right next to Apt 12 double living room windows. Every time someone goes through the small gate gap with something that hits the metal fence you will hear an audible "TWANG" noise. Enjoy that! Also internet is spotty when the "retails" (Plaza Azteca or Canvas) get to "working" on things. Pics to follow. Basically if you have any questions on cleanliness or anything for that matter please look at the pics I've included in my review. Also please don't eat at the restaurants joined with the Metro on Granby. Avoid The Metro on Granby and make sure you stay somewhere that cares about it's tenants. The Element at Ghent is a solid choice.

Please take my word and trust as a resident here the worst mistake you would do is calling this place home, DO NOT MOVE HERE Luxury Apartments is definitely not the words I would use to describe this place, I have complaints on top of complaints I can start with the worst, My First day moving in my guest bedroom and Closet carpet smelled like piss after a couple of days later putting my curtains up I realized Filthy blinds dog hair in the window cells I personally bleached and cleaned them didn't complain moving on my my washer and dryer also disgusting mold in the creases of the rubber in the washing machine and the dryer same full of dog hair and of course lint and dirt, the windows dirty hand prints and smears from the previous attendants, paint splatter all on the hardwood floors from the painter lack of putting protective covering down, I went to check the air vents filters can you believe there were none and the vent cover was just filthy and again I cleaned myself, my refrigerator leaks water inside I've put in a order twice guy comes leaves it still leaks so I stop same with the toilet when I flush it it runs I have to play with the handle or it continues to run neither one of my balcony doors lock and I have to use the strength of Thor to just open and close it the maintenance guy says he'll have a contractor come look at it I'm not the only apartment door that doesn't lock as if that's suppose to make me feel better same for my room door as time went on it's hard to open and now I'm just over it I'm ready to leave The apartment is outdated and overpriced I myself ignored the reviews and still moved here because of locations which is perfect but take heed to what I'm saying people save yourself the disappointment and find another apartment
