“Came here for a Friday evening stay with my wife, daughter and her infant. We liked how the room was recently renovated and clean. While the double-bed mattresses also appeared new-ish, they were basic/marble-slab firm - fine if your back needs that, but not comfortable enough for us side sleepers. Although no breakfast is offered, fresh drip-brewed coffee is provided in the lobby. There is also a good restaurant for dinner right next door: Capt Groovy.”

“Friendly staff, clean building - grounds - rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of amenities, two separate small dog areas on property and a half mile from a dog park - just in case your pet needs to get some energy out. Highly recommend the Navy Lodge Norfolk! Also, say hi to Miss D if you get a chance. She was wonderful and helpful to our family! “We have been here since September. It's peaceful, and quite. The rates are good and the front desk ladies are excellent! Miss Deborah is an absolute gem! My only issue is the elevator. It has been down since before Thanksgiving of last year. Now, I may need the leg workout but having to carry groceries up to the fourth floor via the stairs, is quite cumbersome and tiring. That's the only reason for a 4 star instead of 5. Everything else is great!Edit: Since my initial review, the elevator has been repaired! 5 stars it is! :)”

“This hotel was clean and mid-scale luxury. Rooms are large and clean bathrooms had Evelyn and Crabtree toiletries just in case you left yours behind. I love how they give out the freshly baked chocolate chip ?. Nice touch. The staff are great! Kind and took care of all our needs. Our company was there on business and had our dinner catered by the hotel. The hotel did a fabulous job. The roasted chicken was divine, and tender with a honey taste to it. We also had beef with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Everything was exquisite ?. Even the iced tea was amazing I was able to drink it straight without sugar. Great job DT! “FRONT DESK STARR‼️ ? When it comes to Candlewood Suites, the front desk Agent, Starr. She’s LIFE!!! Super positive, kind, warm and a heart of GOLD!? When I say she was a blessing that was right on time. She was everything my son and I needed on this LONG travel day that was ending horribly. But she saved us!!! The rooms are what we needed, nothing too bad. We’re really grateful for Ms. Starr, Candlewood Suites you better keep her happy and PROMOTE her continuously. She’s your company’s Godsend. “If you are reading reviews, I'm going to be completely honest. Room was clean, beds comfortable, water clean. TV worked but you need to point the remote to the cable box under the TV not at the tv to change channels. Air and heat worked well. Some water damage to celing and floors. Towels were a bit stained. We went to the Dollar Store and bought hand towels and used our own beach towels. Fridge and Microwave worked as they should. Alot of humidity made it hard for things to dry once wet. Rates were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Rooms: Room 214 was clean. Some water damage but it didn't affect the stay.
Nearby activities: We walked to the Pier. 2.00 to walk it 11.00 to fish. Can rent poles for 10.00 plus 20.00 cash deposit. Well worth it.
Safety: The motel has security cameras. Deadbolt on the doors. We stayed Saturday through Tuesday night with no issues.
Walkability: Stairs and elevator. Some standing water on walk ways. It rained the entire time we were there though.”

“Not the fanciest hotel, but met our needs. Actually looked better in person than it did in pictures which surprised me lol. Nice location on the beach. We could see the ocean from our room. The staff were super friendly. The owners stopped by our room after we checked in and brought extra toiletries and towels for our stay and welcomed us. That was so sweet and surprising. I am definitely returning. Thank you, Ocean view Hotel!”
“Rooms: Exceptionally clean room with a very comfortable bed! No microwave in the room, but they do include a mini fridge and coffee maker.
Safety: Use extreme caution if planning on walking from the hotel to go places, especially at night. It felt safe once inside the hotel. The room itself locked up securely and had a safe to secure valuables.
Noteworthy details: No guest laundry is available, the laundry room area is strictly for NSU students living in the hotel, but there is a pay-per-garment same or next-day laundry service available.”
