I've been coming to Hot House for 7 years and absolutely love this place. If you have aches and pains be ready to have those melt away. The Zen feeling you get after each class is enough of a reward to keep you coming back. If this is your first time, I would highly recommend Melanie M's stability class Sunday's at noon (Norfolk Location). This place is seriously the best treat I've ever given my mind, body and soul. The Laskin location has a rubber floor for those with joint sensitivity. Note: It will make balancing a little more challenging though??

I cannot recommend Hot House enough. Both locations are stupendously clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Every employee I've had the pleasure to interact with has been so friendly, accommodating, and professional. The classes are challenging and relaxing at the same time. You'd be hard-pressed to find a teacher who doesn't wholly embody the practice during class. I personally recommend Laura or Melanie M's classes if you're looking to really challenge yourself and deepen your practice.Lots of people complain it's expensive. Personally I find it is totally worth the cost when you consider how much preparation goes into training the teachers (certainly there are some specificities to teaching yoga in a hot environment when it comes to health and things like that), and maintaining an environment of learning and openness. Not to mention how much cleaning has to go in to each class afterwards, as well as the fact that they have multiple showers and comfort amenities like Q-tips and even mouthwash. The only thing I don't like is that for a "monthly" membership, they bill on a 28-day billing cycle. This means that every month your bill is going to come on a different, earlier date. I kind of feel like if they're going to call it a "monthly" membership, then the charges should come out on the same day every month. This way makes it a challenge to budget for and I have had problems making payments because of that. Not to mention, technically you're not getting an actual monthly membership at all. In the future I might go with the class card vouchers, that way I am not subject to what could easily be seen as a cash grab. But honestly that is a minor inconvenience when you look at the value Hot House Yoga brings to your own life. I definitely will be returning again and again.Namasté ? ?

I went here the other day and had an amazing experience from start to finish. I was scrolling through the different yoga studios around town, and found hot house yoga at a time that the heated flow was the perfect solution to the changing temperature and shifting seasons affecting my body and mood. They regulate the temperature well, and the music was upbeat and lively. Shavasana was wonderful especially with a damp towel with lavender oil made the escape from such a warm place a little bit smoother. I wish I had more money, so that I could enroll in some of their classes, but until then, I thought it was great that they offered free mat, blocks, and towel rental for those of us that don't have or didn't bring our own props. I believe their a family owned business and the studio definitely emulates that. Very good experience overall!

I'm doing the 2 week Challenge and waited to at least do my 5th day to really get a feel for hot house. What I love about Hot house is that they're more structured and have more information before you get into heated yoga practice. Although an added charge, they have a road map of postures online that you'll be going through and give you insight as well as modifications if you're just starting out, it's great for beginners as well as advanced practitioners that might want to go back and review. Knowing this helped me feel less awkward and to just focus on my postures. The classes are consistent when it comes to poses. Hot house yoga room is organized with dots that you align your mat with and what's great is that they play music while you practice the poses. Beginner = Stability classes More Experienced = Hot Flow Hot house yoga, is and can be spiritual (I mean yoga itself is spiritual), I hear people say that it feels good and yes I get a good runners high at the end but I still feel like a loose noodle and not so much a stiff pretzel (which is a good thing). What I like about doing heated yoga is that it's a life changing (how do they say it...) paradigm shift. The only thing that I can possibly see Hot house improve upon is probably adding a sauna/steam room to quickly acclimate before the class. It's a challenge in the beginning but that's just me because I enjoy winter more. They have Mat and towel rentals. They offer a good line of yoga products which is with Manduka. I've had a Manduka mat and towel for years and they last a long time. The classes are flexible and affordable which is great.

As many private studios are, it's pricy but worth it. Facilities are clean and lovely. Teachers are all professional and teach great classes. Class format is fairly standardized but each instructor can add her(his) own personality, which I appreciate. It's been challenging and effective workouts.

I wish I could give Hot House all of the stars in the UNIVERSE! I have been going to Hot House for about 5 months now, 3-5 classes a week on average, I am so in love. Hot Yoga has changed my life, spiritually and physically. The cherry on the sunday is the Hot House studio's sense of community. The staff and instructors are all wildly talented, professional, sweet, and COOL. I'm so happy I started on the hot yoga journey with Hot House, it has changed my life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've been a member since the beginning of this year and I love it! The staff is always so kind (even remember my name!) and the studio is so aesthetically pleasing. It's always very clean (even before COVID I felt like the studio was SO clean). And, most importantly, the instructors are all so lovely. I always feel amazing when I leave--I look forward to going nearly every day.

AMY IS THE BEST! She went above and beyond when I noticed an issue with my account. Talked to her on the phone and within that same hour- she calls back just to reassure me that everything's been taken care of and she was just so pleasant to work with. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Can't wait to come back.

I suppose I am somewhat biased as the Hot House Norfolk studio was the first to pop my yoga cherry. I was having the absolute worst day ever and came to my very first yoga session here and left with a calmness and mental clarity that I don't think I've ever experienced before- since then I've been hooked. I've raved about this place to all of my friends and my mood and outlook on things are always sunnier when I go. On top of mentally, I have seen a major transformation physically in my performance with my lifts and CrossFit workouts. I used to have frequent shoulder issues that are seriously no longer since regularly attending hot house. The studio is incredibly put together with the nicest staff at the front desk and worth every penny. I will definitely be the first to go to a flow class over a stability but I have not been disappointed by any sessions I've ever attended. The yoga teachers are all awesome but Buck is my favorite- Hands down! The wisdom he leaves with you at the beginning and end of every class makes my yoga experience even richer. If only I could take this place to DC with me! I will definitely be dropping in whenever I am in town!
