This has been my worst rental experience EVER! This rental is through my insurance carrier Progressive. On Monday, December 11, 2023, at 3:57, We picked up a black ford explorer. Two days later we were asked to come in on Friday, December 15,2023, to switch out because the ford explorer was being sold per the Manager. On Saturday December 16,2023 we met with Kayla at this location who switched us out the previous vehicle and into another rental. To this date I have not received an updated rental contract. My challenge happened today when I was advised to come in and sign for additional coverage of the rental. Which I initially declined however Kayla fraudulently added these additional coverages anyway. Not only did Kayla say she added the coverage without my permission she became extremely argumentative and proceeded to yell at me to return to their office and sign for coverages that I didn't agree too. This experience was more than unprofessional and falls far below the standard of services I have received through Enterprise in the past.

Just had the best experience ever with renting a car: Kayla Forest helped me get set up in a great Chevrolet Spark. The car is clean and runs beautifully and Kayla is knowledgeable, helpful and very competent. Cannot recommend this Downtown Norfolk Enterprise more highly!!

I literally never have a problem with Enterprise. It doesn't matter which location (except for one bad one in Virginia Beach I previously reviewed a while ago), they're easy to work with and their cars are clean. This is the first time I've been to the Monticello location for rental and they didn't disappoint. Helpful and quick, exactly what I needed.

Been renting regularly with them for 3 years. Good customer service and generally the sales reps have a good attitude. Had some problems getting exceptionally dirty cars a year or so back, but since been infrequent. Two minor pieces of feedback:--This location is relatively stingy as far as upgrades for those with status.--Branch shouldn't assume a totally different class of car (e.g., intermediate to full size pickup) is an upgrade and automatically tag the car without providing an option to the customer. For me, I rent for long distance commutes and purposely choose car classes with superior gas mileage. Getting a F150 doesn't help me much. Better to give an option rather than assume an upgrade of that nature.In comparison with how terrible some rental car spots are, definitely worth 5 stars.

I have been to this location several times and it's always been a pleasant experience but today It was the worse experience ever. I made a reservation for a premium vehicle about a week ago because I was told I am required to use a credit card for a luxury vehicle and I been a victim of identity theft so if I can avoid using it I do. So today on the day of my reservation I received a phone call from enterprise saying that now I must use a credit for a premium vehicle and if I wanted to use my debit card I would have to downgrade my vehicle to full size which I agreed to, then inquired when the policy was established and she replied its been that way since she's been working....I replied that doesn't give me a time frame because I don't know how long she's been working there... she then stated she didn't like how I was speaking to her and that I needed to be there before 530pm (the time of my reservation) because that's what time they closed. So I left work early and took an uber from va beach to downtown Norfolk and while i was enroute i called Enterprises corporate number and made a formal complaint about the phone call...shortly after the phone call ended I walked in the Monticello location and gave my name and that I was there for my pick up and I was told my reservation was canceled because she didn't like my tone on the phone.... I replied I only asked when the policy you was established because it was something new to me.... she replied that I was rude and nasty and my reservation is canceled because she didn't like how I spoke to her...so now I'm stranded with no ride in 100 degree weather for 30min until I can find a ride home. I am a Disabled Veteran and this employee let her personal feelings put my safety at risk...and when I asked her name she refused to.give it to me... now at this point I am seriously considering legal representation.

I was there to get a rental 7/9/2023 because my car had just broke down the night before. The branch manager Todd A. Harrell was assisting me and he wasn’t so friendly. He asked me for validation on my work place because I got the rental through my job services. When I didn’t have my badge with me he told me he need to see my pay stub. As I’m pulling it up he began to grow impatient. When everything was set and he’s getting ready to run my credit card he tells me “if it doesn’t go through the first time he won’t be able to process it till another 24 hour. So I told him to hold on until I call my bank to make sure the money is there if that was the case. Then he starts to huff & puff, it bought tears to my eyes cause not only am I going through a lot but his nasty attitude wasn’t helping. If he going to have an attitude like that he needs to stay in the back & not deal with customers!

I paid $364 to have a car shipped from Fayetteville Nc to purchased 4/6. It rained that weekend and was told the weather was too bad to send their driver to transport it. I called that following Monday and was that had water damaged, therefore I had to find another vehicle. I immediately started calling about my refund. I spoke with the manager BRICE 4/12 and was told a refund takes about 5-7 days. It's been over 3 weeks now with no refund insite. I called again and spoke with a different manager name John explained the situation to him said he would check into the matter. I never received a call back from him. Called the local corporate office 4/28 left msg for someone to call me. its now almost a month with No REFUND!!! They might be good at car rentals but not with anything else. I WILL NEVER USED THEM AGAIN

I visited Enterprise to pick up a vehicle on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023. I received the standard pickup when needed and I had a very pleasant conversation with the driver in reference to Christ Jesus, death and how his sacrifice paved the way for a better future for all who exercise faith in the ransom. After walking around the vehicle, I noticed there were some issues that needed to be addressed. I immediately asked for another vehicle, but there were none. I was told, "Once I dropped off the vehicle, I would be compensated." I was also offered the opportunity to resolve the matter, but the time it would have taken was not a part of my plans for the day. Instead of blasting the Company, which some people tend to do. In this situation, I want to give credit where (Credit) is due! Why? As you might notice, I haven't disclosed what the issue or problem was. Why not? Because every matter does not have to be disclosed or exposed!!!Some things aren't always worth speaking about. Sometimes, "The Good or Positive things," - should only be highlighted. For example: At drop off, the manager named, "Todd," addressed and handled the problem promptly and to my satisfaction! This was the first time in a long time I used this location. However, I appreciate the service I received and the excellent Customer Support, I received from all the staff. From the Pick up/Drop off Service to the manager name, "Todd," who realizes that true Customer Service is when you put the Customer first!!!So, I give "Enterprise Rent- A - Car," on Monticello Avenue in Norfolk, VA;5 Stars!!! The way Todd handled the matter gained my respect for Him and every representative at this location. "Keep up the good work!" A well trained staff reflects on everyone who is in the position of Authority.....I will definitely rent from this location again....Appreciative and Well Pleased!Ms. Naomi M. Tucker

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!This is the SECOND time we've made a reservation A WEEK AHEAD OF TIME and Enterprise somehow doesn't have any cars. You can't even park at this location if you need to leave your car. Total clown show.
