Got hung up on. Then left on hold for 30 minutes. No one ever picked up. I’ll find somewhere else.

Terrible pharmacy service. Barely know how to speak to me. I travel for a living and my two prescriptions should have transferred easily. Instead it has taken three days to process them and now I’m here on my last day in town and there is no pharmacist. It’s been 40 minutes at the time of this review and the pharmacist has not shown up. Looks like I will have to transfer them all over again in my next city. Lost over $20 in Lyft fares getting here, too! Don’t move your prescriptions here! You’ve been warned!

I had my daughter’s scripts transferred here as it is the closest pharmacy to ODU. Every time I call there is a minimum 20 minute hold time up to almost an hour. Her scripts have not been filled in a timely manner. I called another local pharmacy to see if they could get her scripts transferred to their store and they said they would not call the CVS on Hampton Ave bcz no one ever answers! This is unacceptable for heath care.

This pharmacy sucks. It’s not there lunch time and I’ve been on the phone on two line one 2:30 mins and another line 55 mins. It’s not lunch time and they aren’t picking up. The drive thru is always shut down due to short staff but they put a note on the window saying the drive thru register is down that’s not true hire coat told me the real reason. Line is super long and they always have an attitude in here. Something needs to be done this is the worst cvs I’ve ever been too unfortunately I’m pregnant and disabled so it’s convent for me but I can’t even get out my car and go inside so my prescriptions sit there. When you call to get them filled they say it will take 30 mins and you wait over a hour.

I used to always come to CVS to pick up my prescriptions. I always had a great experience but these pas two trips have been terrible. The first time I came in around the holidays and went to the drive thru as normal only time find out that it was closed. The drive thru didn’t have a sign, a cone, or anything up to alert me so I drove up and waited at the window for nothing. It’s an inconvenience to drive up and have to reverse out of a drive thru that’s closed in but I’m guessing they haven’t even considered that at all. Today I had to pick up another prescription and I had to come back and in my head they were busy back then because it was the holidays but I was wrong. It looks like this is the way it is with them now. I pulled up and waited at the drive thru for ten minutes after hearing a recording tell me someone was coming shortly. I rang the bell twice and they said someone was coming so I called and was told the drive thru was closed. I then had to reverse out a drive thru that’s closed in and come inside to a long line. This is beyond ridiculous and upsetting. I understand they’re short staff but there’s no consideration shown. They don’t apologize or acknowledge their unprofessionalism with their pharmacy. It’s becoming frustrating having to deal with needing medicine for whatever issue I have and then having to wait in a long line. Sadly, I don’t have much of a choice because I need my medication. SMH something needs to change because this is frustrating and a headache. These are the two separate occasions that i mentioned. Also, it’s now taking over two days for my medication to process as well.

The pharmacy really doesn’t answer the phone. I am incredibly frustrated. I been on hold for 22 minutes. I have to now make a trip to wait to then pick up my prescription. I could’ve saved myself a trip if they only pick up the phone.Drive thru… you’ll be waiting half an hr. There are legit 5 people in there and working at turtle speed. They just dont care. If u can go elsewhere, do so.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had at one of your CVS locations. As a loyal customer and someone who relies on your pharmacy services, I was extremely disappointed to discover that the "plus size" suppositories advertised as being in stock on your website were not available when I visited the store.I had specifically visited the store to purchase "plus size" suppositories, as I require them for my personal health needs. However, upon arriving at the pharmacy counter and inquiring about their availability, I was informed by the staff that they did not have any in stock. To exacerbate the situation, the manager on duty refused to even check the stockroom or make any additional effort to help me acquire the product I needed.Needless to say, this lack of concern and unavailability of a product that was advertised as in stock is highly disconcerting. I rely on pharmacies such as CVS to provide reliable and accurate information about product availability, especially for essential items like medications. To be told that the only alternative available was the regular sized suppositories, which do not meet my healthcare needs, and suggest that I use “multiple regular sized ones” was an additional insult to injury. As a paying customer, I believe in holding businesses accountable for their advertised services. I expect accurate information, transparency, and respectful customer service. The lack of effort from your manager to assist me and the seemingly misleading information on your website have left me feeling frustrated and let down.I kindly request that you address this issue promptly and take the necessary steps to ensure such incidents do not happen to other customers in the future. Additionally, I would appreciate an explanation as to why the stock availability did not match the information provided on your website.I hope my feedback helps in improving your services and maintaining the trust of your valued customers. I believe that CVS has the potential to deliver excellent service, but my recent experience has left me questioning that notion.Thank you for your attention to my concerns. I anticipate a prompt response to this matter.Sincerely,Helena B. Jolene

Worst and unpleasant staff. CVS should replace them or add people who are much better and efficient. We understand that you have to wait sometimes. But they would make you wait longer and when you try to call nobody would even answer your call. The management doesn't seem to care. Especially the lady who checks the medicine. She's just there sitting and doesn't care if customers wait. Just get out or close it if they don't wanna work. No compassion. The worst of the worst they don't even care.

Been rough lately. I've been here every week or two to pick up for the past year, and they really started struggling this past Fall. Had staffing issues, were always behind on meds, and the lines always got out of hand. My normal experience was to wait 30+ minutes in line just to finally get to the front and be told my meds won't be ready for another couple hours and to do it all over again... Regardless of how many days before the script got filled, they'd never be ready. Then hours got cut so they close at 6pm M-F and 4pm on weekends. This has sucked as I work far away and don't get back in time on weekdays, so Saturday and Sunday are the only days I can come in and usually have to come twice. This being said, things seem to be really turning around here. The hours still suck, but the past 2-3 times I've visited, the difference has been night and day! They have new staff, have finally gotten on top of filling meds, and they've even had two people up front dealing with guests which considerably quickens lines, if there even is one which I can't remember the last time I've seen! I'm glad I stuck around and hope things continue going this way for this location. The people who stayed those bad months did their best and are always very kind, and I really like the new people too! I'm wary that the positive change is temporary with how rough it's been, but with what I've seen lalely this place does not deserve anymore the 1 star I gave it, so I'm changing it to 3. Once I'm truly convinced these good changes are staying, I'd give 4, and if they bring back their old hours, I'd rate this place 5 stars.I'd be wary still of putting in meds here if I had surgery or something and needed them asap, but with these positive changes and the state of the other pharmacies around here, this may be the best choice again. I have serious gratitude for you alli; thank you to thodr who stayed to keep things running, and thank you to the people who've recently joined and are bringing back this CVS's status as a great pharmacy. I'm sure it was difficult being understaffed and dealing with less happy customers, but at least I always got my meds eventually. Love you guys for all you do, keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to increasing my rating further

Pharmacy needs to hire more staff. Texts and notifications of prescriptions being ready only to be told that they aren't and that the system must have just "sent the message automatically."There's always an incredibly long line to pick up prescriptions and the pharmacy's hours have dwindled to become incredibly prohibitive to people who work. CVS needs to hire more pharmacy techs and/or pharmacists.

The pharmacy here has been absolutely horrible in recent months. My understanding is that there is a new pharmacist/staff changes but it has taken more than several months and they still haven’t worked their problems out. Drive thru is permanently closed, nearly impossible to get ahold of someone on the phone, and lines are ALWAYS long. Icing on the cake was going to pick up a prescription at 4:40 and being told to wait for it to be filled, was called up by the pharmacist at 5:59 (the pharmacy now closes at 6pm, which is a recent downgrade from 8pm)to be told it will not be filled and I need to come back in the morning. Ridiculous, rude, and disorganized. Will be moving pharmacies.

This CVS is the worst!!! I have been trying for DAYS to speak to someone in the pharmacy and each time I have been put on infinity hold. I even stayed on the phone with my health insurance company while they called and she was put on infinity hold. She asked me if they always put you on hold so long and I said "Lately, yes." I need my blood pressure medication switched to another state's CVS. They told me it was ready (by text). When I asked for it to be transferred they told me I didn't have a refill to transfer. My local CVS said that THIS CVS said it had been picked up. How?!!! By who?!!! I'm in a different state!!!! SMHEither fix this CVS or close it; it is useless and they are playing with people's health/lives!

I don’t know what is going on at this CVS but something needs to change, and fast. I can’t get through on the phone when I call, they’ve closed the drive thru, reduced hours, and when you go inside, the line is so long and slow that I feel like I have to take the day off of work just to be able to wait. This is ridiculous. I’ve been coming to this CVS for several years and been VERY satisfied with the service but it has taken a very sharp turn for the worst over the past 6 months. Management needs to address this ASAP.
