I had a disappointing experience with Budget Car Rentals. Despite having a reservation, they claimed to have no cars available and notified us at 12 pm for an 8 am pickup. When we tried to change the location, customer service was unhelpful and refused to honor the reservation price. We ultimately canceled and switched to Enterprise, where we received better service with a larger car at a lower cost.Don't use this company, they were very unhelpful, we will not be using them again.

I would leave zero stars but that is not an option. Extremely rude service agent at pick up counter. Just received a bill for $450 saying the car was returned soiled. However, it was not even clean at pickup evident by the razor blade in the front cup holder. And to make it worse, I paid for full damage insurance. I was told a pick up inspection is not required when you purchase that insurance. Never again Budget!!

The car was great, but beware of getting charged for fuel even if you return the car full. I chose the option to fill it up myself. When returning the car to the airport, they told me to keep the keys in the ignition and I was free to leave. They said they would send me the receipt. A few minutes later, I received the receipt which charged me the flat fee for fuel.

This is the second time Budget has taken people money months in advance & not have cars available. This is totally unacceptable. My last time using this company!!! I should have stayed w/ our norm, Enterprise Car Rental!!! Budget Car Rental Is The Worse. Costco Travel Definitely Need To Drop Them ASAP!!! You are seeing just a few of the people who have been in the Airport waiting for a car they paid for months ago. It's about 50 people waiting!!! SMDH ??

This experience was horrible, they gave me a filthy car, it had not been washed, there was stuff all over the windows and it had a major dent along with other scratches.I asked the Budget Fast Break attendant that gave me the car if there were any others and he said “I can’t guarantee you the next car will be any better, people don’t know how to drive here”. When I left with the car, when I reached 60mph on the freeway, the car would start to shake. I’m totally disappointed with Budget.

I've reserved a full size car and prepaid for it twice. Both times I've been told that there are none available, yet I see them in the rental car lot. Most recently I took pictures of three of the full size cars in the lot. Sure enough they told me that there weren't any and that I could "wait for one to come in" (exact words both times). When I showed them the photos of full size cars in the lot they told me that they "did not have time to fuxk around with me".I think they must be upgrading folks to get a commission. The customer service rep in India, or some such, wasn't too concerned.

Even if you Reserve a car online before leaving home they leave the rate blank on the computer and charge hundreds more when you go to pick up your rental.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I made a prepaid reservation in March for a vacation in July. Budget makes you select the time you will show up for your rental online so I selected 11:30PM. I arrived at 11:30PM to a line taken care of by Avis that was 10+ deep. I scanned their pre check sign to let them know I was waiting. There was 3 women and 1 man working the counter that were giggling and avoiding eye contact in between customers. I waited for 30+ minutes until they announced they no longer had cars. I am still thoroughly confused why prepay and pre checking in is an option if they don't actually hold a car for you!! They will hold your money and not give you a rental. The woman manager working the desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend this business to anyone. She said she was unsure when they'd have cars again. I stated I was staying an hour + away and didn't want to take the $120 Uber ride back for their mistake and to chance still not having a vehicle. I called about a couple days later for a full refund and was hung up on 2x by their customer service center. I finally got through and was issued my refund.I do not plan on giving them my business going forward. **I would not recommend doing a prepaid option**

Watched as several people got off a plane in Norfolk and went to Budget to pick up their reserved rental. After several hours in line, most were told they didn't have a car available despite people having reservations??? Many people left and made other arrangements. Pretty poor business practice.

Absolutely horrible service and fraudulent business practices. I always turn down insurance because I have great insurance and full coverage. I checked my bill and saw they added it. I called the customer service number and after a long run around they said they can only remove it when I drop the car off. When I dropped the car off they said they can't remove it. I have rented about 8-9 cars since this happened and not one has been with Budget or Avis. You disgusting dishonesty costs in the long run

I prepaid a Fastbreak reservation and approached the main desk to check where the pickup location was. The man at the counter checked my reservation and adamantly said that the car I had requested would likely be unavailable because it was a same-day reservation. I told him that the app didn't mention that warning when I paid for the rental, and he said I shouldn't trust the Internet because flights get cancelled and a number of other seemingly ridiculous things. The only thing he did was to add stress to an otherwise easy trip. At the pickup location, I didn't experience trouble, except that the car I was given was full of roaches. I came back to the pickup location and requested a different car, which they replaced quickly. I don't post a picture of the roaches because it's disgusting.

The car we received was filthy and hadn't been washed. The windows were hard to see out of. I had to clean the inside windows and mirrors myself. If I wasn't in a rush I would have asked for another car. But as you can see they already only have 1 star ratings.

Well budget car rental was absolutely great. It was one of the best experiences we've had renting a car.Initially we booked a Tesla rental with one of the other agencies that OJ used to represent. We had booked a car and reserved it but when we arrived at the airport they (Hertz) said oh it's gone.So we went with budget and it was one of the best experiences we've had renting a car.

Budget failed to honor reservations times. Reviews on google and Yelp support the ongoing issues at this location. The number of 1 star reviews is an indicator of the likely systemic issues of this location and/or this company as a whole. After calling Costco to assist and Budget corporate, the resolutions offered were to wait for an indefinite amount of time or to find (good luck) another reservation for the same day. If you are able to find another vehicle (again, good luck) Budget’s policy is to pay the difference for the rental. We realized this policy after 2 hours of waiting. The amount of stress added to already difficult travel circumstances is the impetus for writing this review. Customers before making a decision about rentals need to avoid renting from Budget. The staff failed to clarify the issues regarding reservations and allowed customers to sit for 2 hours waiting for vehicles.

This place is a circus. The employees and the management have absolutely zero care about customers. We showed up and had a FastBreak reservation……it took an hour to get a rental car and I had to go back and forth 3 times between the main desk and the FastBreak desk. The gentleman at the FastBreak literally told me “The ladies upstairs don’t know how to do their jobs. They’ve trained them on this multiple times.” Then the ladies upstairs got on the phone and said “See where it says FastBreak……that means they are a frequent traveler. Now give them a car”When I mentioned the issues to the “manager” he told me that the agents “can’t actually see your reservation on their systems but they can pull up your name” which is weird because the main desk and the FastBreak were both on the phone looking at my reservation.Then to top it off the car was dirty and only at a half tank. I would complain but I’m not sure it’s even worth the time because clearly this place is running on pure zero give a care effort.Budget if you read this and want to lay anyone off……I’d start here.
