6328 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk“I am absolutely thrilled with our recent purchase of a pre-owned vehicle from Ryan @ Carafello's Auto Sales.
Having suffered through a seemingly endless parade of absolutely abysmal used car search interactions with a parade of "clown show" characters @ a host of local lots, I was ardently wedded to harnessing established web based players (e.g., CarMax, Carvana, TruCar).
My wife passionately advanced an alternative path, given her incredibly favorable impression of Ryan formed over the course of numerous interactions with him in her role @ a financial services firm. She engaged Ryan with a “wish list” list of requirements in a late model, low mileage sedan in an effort to strike the balance between performance and value.
After acquiring a vehicle meeting all her requirements, Ryan invited my wife for an inspection and test drive. I insisted on accompanying her, given my deep reservations in yet another experience closely akin to that classic cult movie Used Cars with Kurt Russell.
Anticipating the usual "flim-flam" sales approach so typical of pre-owned auto brokers, I was totally taken aback by Ryan’s sincere and genuine approach in (i) building a relationship with a client earnestly seeking value rather than (ii) advantaging a customer desperately seeking a one-time deal.
Even in the eyes of my jaded judge of character that have so often been bitterly disappointed in the past by a seemingly endless episode of “Bozo the Clown” Used Car Salesmen masquerading as bona fide players on the field, Ryan answered my many questions fielded his way @ both (i) the vehicle in general and (ii) his business model in particular with kind patience, quiet respect and obvious expertise.
As a heartful graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI), I found Ryan to be a kindred spirit in embracing the ethos @ a sense of honor > Nothing is ever worth the undying shame of advantaging another in order to advance personal gain.
Trust in any modern transaction is a rarity in these troubled times, especially in the pre-owned vehicle market space. Given Ryan’s singular focus on (i) cultivating a heartfelt client rather than (ii) preying upon an unsuspecting customer, I will turn to him time and again in the future with quiet confidence in engaging a truly trusteed steward when seeking another vehicle.
In my humble opinion, there are none better than Ryan @ Carafello's Auto Sales!”
“I have a older truck that nobody could find parts 4 or work on as it is an antique truck. But these guys figured it out fast. And the price was way less than I expected period They are very fast. They are very friendly and they do great work.”

6633 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk“We had an issue with our 2020 Subaru Forester, where constant warning lights kept coming on and off due to a faulty intake manifold. The repair was going to be expensive, but they reached out to Subaru and got them to cover the cost, even though we didn’t buy the vehicle at First Team and were brand new customers. Needless to say, we’ll definitely be coming back.”
“Chris, who brings our tires, is awesome! He's always friendly, professional, courteous and makes us smile when he shows up.
Major kudos to Chris!!!”
“Car is there waiting for repairs caused by a moving truck hitting me. So far, very professional. Work done exceptionally well. Extremely pleased and would absolutely recommend.”
“It was that time of year again for car safety inspection and after having made several calls around town to get my car inspected, University was the first place that allowed me to set a time/date to bring my car in. I found Josh to be warm and friendly upon my arrival, he answered all my questions, allowed me to add an oil change/tire rotation to my original request of an inspection. Upon picking my car up, the warm, friendly greeting met me again. Josh explained the services performed on my car, again answering any questions I had. I found the cost very reasonable, in fact, once home and comparing the cost to all my many years of service done at a local dealership, University was a bit lower, always a plus but I left feeling more confident in the services done on my vehicle. I highly recommend this business, it is now my "go to" place for any of my vehicle needs. Thanks Josh!”

“These guys are the absolute GREATEST!! I had to be to work and these guys got me out literally in 10 minutes. Carlton provided great and professional customer service and was very friendly. 5828 Curlew Dr, Norfolk“Yesterday, I had my first interaction with this company, and I was impressed. Due to noise from my front end, I thought I had an issue with the bearings and asked them to have a look. Later, Jim called and explained that the bearings were good and suggested an alignment (at a lower cost) due to the front tire wear. Now, this may seem straightforward to some or even a routine matter, but ask yourself, how many auto service companies would have done the same instead of simply replacing the bearings and calling it a day?
Because of that, I was impressed by their honesty and integrity. The next time I have an auto issue, Azealea Super Service will be my only call.”
“Front office staff is so professional and friendly. I want to the office for a appointment for a oil change to my surprise they were able to take me right then.
That just made my day. Thank you Big AL”

220 E 25th St, Norfolk“Went in for a state inspection. No one was ahead of me when I got there. They told me maybe 15-20 minutes for the inspection, but I was in and out in 10 minutes! The price was what it should be - $20 flat. I highly recommend this spot and will be coming back for any future car needs. Thank y'all!”
“These folks are real pros! My 2006 Toyota Tacoma failed inspection due to a rusty frame. They performed the work quickly, on time, and were very professional in every way. Will recommend this shop to everyone. It is great to work with a first class locally owned business!”

5568 Sabre Rd, Norfolk“Very professional, effective and efficient with the time it took to install my new battery. The tech also explained some of the features concerning the battery, it’s function, and a few insights to further help me in the future. I was very satisfied. I will definitely utilize them for all future battery needs.”
“I had the Best experience buying my first car at 1 stop auto! As a woman I had my reservations trusting a car sales man or mechanic, but not there! They were honest and transparent about the condition of the car and have made sure me and my little one were safe and happy in it! So thankful to their long partnered mechanic Darrin and the Owner Steve! They have great lifetime perks that come with the purchase of a car through them. I highly recommend purchasing a vehicle through them!”
“Woke up this morning not knowing i was going to buy a car. Stopped by and was greeted by Jackie Tuzzo. Ended up buying an Elantra. The process was smooth. Go see her!”

7615 Merritt St, Norfolk“Very impressed with the repair done by Caliber. Their employees were very helpful and their communications to and from Caliber concerning the progress of the repair was excellent and professional. Thanks to everyone there.”
“Friendly staff that so far has helped me every time I’ve had questions. $10 an hour seems steep to me for an MWR program, but that’s big Navy making the prices. So far they’ve had every tool I’ve needed but haven’t had to do anything too complicated so far.”
“happy with previous business with them, but when calling now nobody answers the phone i like to talk to a person before driving there just to find out the person i need to talk to is not there”
8AM - 5PM
5333 E Princess Anne Rd, Norfolk“I was in a hurry to get a safety inspection on a vehicle that was being delivered to a customer. They were awesome. They were about to close and they saw me anyway the owner is awesome. Very nice. I would definitely recommend you come and bring your vehicle for any of your vehicle needs..”
“I would recommend Bay automotive for any repair and bodywork. They would never disappoint you!!!! They do awesome work they Have an eye for detail!!! Thank you guys so much for all those who worked on my 2017 Nissan Sentra my blue”
“Amazing business with great customer service! Chandler and his entire team communicated with us throughout the whole process. The work completed on our vehicle was timely and thorough. Definitely the place you want to go for great quality work and customer experience!”
8:30AM - 5:30PM
892 E Little Creek Rd, Norfolk“Outstanding service and genuinely *nice* guys. I purchased a used vehicle in Norfolk that they had previously serviced. I had a minor (unrelated) issue on the way out of town. I took the van there on the prior owner's recommendation. They fit me in on short notice, got me the needed part, and got me on the road. I was grateful and impressed.”
“Amazing customer service from start to finish! Also, excellent job done! I couldn’t be more happy with my experience. Daniel is great to work with; very communicative and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend to others and I will be going back for any future repairs needed! Thank you! ?”
“Tommy has been my go to guy for years. He has worked on all my vehicles and done a superb job. So when I inherited my life long friends 74 Nova SS I knew Tommy was the guys to take it over the top. She sat outside in the Maryland weather for 6 years. It takes a Tommy who knows what needs to be done.”
“A very friendly staff with quick service. The shop was well organized and very clean. The crew had my van doors fixed the same day I dropped it off. I will definitely go back.”
“Rarely do I leave reviews. Rarely are companies worth reviews. Andy and Costal Imports are worth a 5-star review. If you are like me and have an import like a Porsche, Mercedes, Range Rover or Jaguar like mine, you feel concerned about taking it to a shop that normally does quick fixed on Chevys and Fords. Are they going to know what they are doing? Are they going to charge through the roof? Costal Imports help solve a complex problem for me and charged far less than I was expecting. They are in one word: professional. Hard to find these days. Take your car there and sleep at night while they have it!”
“Super thankful for the district manager (Charles) and an incredibly talented mechanic (Elvin from Big Al’s on East Little Creek Road). Initially frustrated from a not so great customer service experience, they both were extremely helpful and made me feel confident enough to continue bringing our family car to Big Al’s. Believe it or not it only took a little communication. As soon as Charles and Elvin explained to me the issue that was going on with my car, I felt extremely grateful. They were able to communicate things to me in a non demeaning manor and I appreciated that tremendously (because previous individuals were not able to do so). All in all, I’m thankful that my car is riding better than ever, and I will be requesting Elvin again in the future.”
“1992 Chevy S10 State Inspection (in 2024)
I have taken this vehicle to Willowwood for inspection for several years running. It's an antique without antique plates. (Yes, I've pondered it! - But I want to be able to "daily drive" more than 250 miles from my abode without breaking the law.) I've had Willowwood mechanics reject this vehicle due to misdiagnosis and pass it with flying colors throughout the years. They're mechanics - not perfect. One inspector rejected it due to play in the lower ball-joints. Ball-joints were good - the wheel-bearings were loose. I am a retired mech myself. I don't argue with inspectors (usually!) The ball-joints were original equipment from 1992! I replaced them, repacked, and adjusted the wheel-bearings. Took it back for re-inspection. Even good people goof, occasionally.
Anytime you feel like an inspector has slighted you, or is taking advantage of you, there is a recourse. It involves a Virginia State Trooper doing your inspection. Read the Virginia State Code.
Willowwood mech's have misdiagnosed but have never attempted to abuse me to make money for the shop (to the best of my knowledge). They've helped me to keep my antique on the road - SAFELY!”
“Had such a GREAT experience with this business. Very professional, kept me informed of my vehicles progress and when I could pick it up. Couldn't be happier, I will definitely be back and have already told my friends and family about them! Miss Pat and Mr. Ron are AWESOME, 5+ stars for this place.Services: Electrical repair”

I talked to Jimmy over the phone and he helped me get in the schedule was so patient when getting details on my car because I’m not a car girly. All staff was nice I had no problems, I was here for an hour or less getting my flat replaced.”
