Dr Dove is amazing and is very knowledgeable! She does such a good job with my 4 dogs. She has gone out of her way to get my dog a medical diagnosis that was needed and communicated with me regarding medication changes and whether or not I felt them necessary based on behavior at home. She also introduced me to a shot that is good for my one dog’s arthritis. It is 100% worth the ride from Chesapeake to Newport News once a month because the difference is astronomical! The staff are amazing and will go out of their way to help you. If you are looking for a vet, I highly recommend Dr Dove! Warwick Animal Hospital treats you like you’re family and treats your animals as if they were their own.

My little dog had her 1st appt with Dr Dove earlier this week. The staff made me feel comfortable. Dr Dove & her assistant took time to sit on the floor with Gracie & made Gracie feel comfortable. Dr Dove took the time to answer all my questions. I think Warwick Animal Hopital will work out great for Gracie. Thank you to all the staff.

the staff at Warwick Animal Hospital are very knowledgeable in animal healthcare they go above and beyond to make sure that your pet is well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this office if you need a veterinarian.

My little old Bonnie had ear surgery this week. I was well informed of what the doctor was going to do. I was also well informed with written instructions on how to take care of my Bonnie after surgery. Warwick Animal Hospital is AWESOME.

My dogs first visit here was great! After that, though, I can’t say the same. The customer service isn’t great, bordering on rude. I understand this job is tough and not everyday is a good day for staff, so I’ve tried to give the benefit of the doubt but it’s only been getting worse lately. I’ve been calling every single day for over a week trying to get a refill for a prescription and was promised every time I called that it would be/was sent to the pharmacy when it in fact wasn’t. They have refused to allow me in the room with my very anxious dog for vaccines and nail trims after I asked to be with him. Of course, he was a mess without me (which I tried to explain to them) and after 5 mins of trying, they gave him back to me and told me to reschedule to have him be sedated for the nail trim. I understand this vet office may not have the time or patience to work with my dog, which is totally understandable and fine! What’s not fine, in my opinion, is not filling a prescription after I called every day for over a week begging for a refill. They told me it wasn’t necessary for my dog to be seen to refill this prescription and they continued to tell me they would be sending it out or that the pharmacy has already received the refill, so there honestly no excuse in my mind.
Update: I found a vet that’s a better match for my highly anxious dog. The weird thing is that when I asked Warwick to send his medical records over, they claimed to have none. Even though he was treated at this vet clinic for his anxiety and received 2 vaccines. I find it both suspicious and very concerning that they either didn’t create records for him or couldn’t find them.

We are currently not clients at Warwick Animal Hospital, but had a medical emergency on a Saturday morning with our dog. Our Vet was closed, the emergency Vet in Yorktown turned us away because of staffing issues and a full waiting room, another Newport News clinic told us they could not see our dog. We took a chance and walked into Warwick Animal Hospital. Our dog was seen immediately and Dr. Dove took care of our four legged friend. I cannot thank Dr. Dove and her team enough. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ?

The staff here is fantastic. Vet's are really good at caring for your animal not just treating symptoms. Very attentive and eager to explain things in a simple and straightforward way. Also very understanding of people's budgets. Couldn't recommend them more.
