My favorite thrift store in this area. Really nice selection of Women's dresses, jeans, shoes. Always polite and great customer service. I visit often.

I was kind of disappointed with the prices! Everything that caught my eye today was priced like what felt more like low-end retail instead of thrift store prices. For example, a set of 2 serving platters, plain white, we're over $14.
I usually like coming to this thrift store, but it was a bit of a let down today. I hope they consider lowering their prices a bit

After a short day of thrifting we decided to give check out Village Thrift for our last stop. It appears the proceeds go towards the local SPCA. Although it is a little tight on space it is very well organized. All clothes are sorted by size which makes it so much more easy to sort through. A whole room dedicated to books, music, toys and yard tools Today was an extra 30% off everything not marked with 4 which made it easy to decide to get a few items the staff was very friendly and encouraged us to check out the new larger second location in the old Tuesday Morning building right down the street.

I used to love this place! Good prices, and the staff was great for a bit! And then something changed, I'm not sure when, it feels like a very strained place now. I overheard an employee (manager??) making another employee cry by berating them. I can't justify coming to a place where they treat employees like that, the price isn't worth it and I can see why the staff turned over. Sorry y'all

If I can rate 0 stars i would. I don’t write reviews but this thrift store treats their customers terribly, they even treat some of the employees terribly! Not to mention it’s constantly messy, and I always get the worst looks from one older lady. Prices are too high as well for stuff that looks damaged. Your better off going to D.A.V.

i have so much to say about this shithole of an establishment, specifically a thrift store. this place is NOT all sunshine & rainbows like you may think it is but boy do i have a lot to unpack here. first things first, the owner is highly disrespectful, inconsiderate, & treats their customers horribly. literally a huge disgrace to the business. so nasty & so rude. as for the abominable & stomach-churning atmosphere, it was a complete nightmare. the place had a very rancid & sour odor. it smelled like mildew mixed with spoiled milk, expired mayonnaise, & a humongous can of bounce that ass times a thousand !!! absolutely revolting. i give the business a -15/10. that's not all, i went to buy a specific book but it turns out, it had multiple tears on the cover and on one of the pages, it had this white goo smeared all over it. it made me nauseous. I DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!! if i could rate it 0 stars, i most definitely would. you're better off going to a different thrift store.

Bought a pair of shoes for my daughter. Asked for the return policy specifically for the shoes, she said within 72 hrs you could exchange, didn’t specify on WHAT could or could not be exchanged. Long story short my daughter couldn’t fit the shoes, brought them back within 24hrs to EXCHANGE and now they only exchange clothes. So don’t buy shoes if you’re not sure if they fit! Trash customer service.

Great place to shop for retail therapy!!!I walked around for over a hour enjoyed talking to the other customers as well as the staff. Great Amazon bargains at 50%offWent back two days later to purchase more Amazon caddy trays for my bestie.Thanks again to Brooke, Jayda and Edie for their patience and laughter

Village Thrift, Newport News, Va.I had some time to kill before I was going to lunch and decided to check out this place. It was in a strip mall that seems kinda dead. I don’t know. This place was very organized. I’d found some shirts and a sports coat that fit. Yeh……….Lot of stuff. I’d come back here.

I visited this thrift store today and I will never visit this place ever again. I purchase two items in store and was served by a pleasant lady. Upon my departure I noticed two shopping carts with books, cds and DVDs in them. I was interested in the DVDs to purchase so I went back inside to inquire about the price. I was told by another vendor that they were free but she will confirm that. After wailing for a very long period, the young lady came back to me with prices ranging from $19.99 to $6.98. I inquired why the prices were so high and she told me that these items were not processed. I purchased 3 of the DVDs and went out to the free bin to rummage through pile now knowing that these items were “free”. Upon entering my car a lady and gentleman come running to my car and questioned me about the items I had in my hand. I said that items were paid for and I had some free items as well. I produced the receipts and the lady took the free DVDs out of my hand and said they were not free. I was so embarrassed and shocked at her approach, with her bodyguard standing behind her. I will not recommend these money hungry thrift store people. If this is how they treat their customer who went into the store to pay for “free” items and at almost cost prices, please refrain from donating to money-hungry individuals who disguise their greed under the banner of a thrift store. It pains me to write this review. Buyers BEWARE!!!

I love Village Thrift. I’ve actually been shopping at both locations for years. This is the most organized/clean I’ve seen this store it made it easier to shop ! Great clothes, toys, shoes, & misc. items. This is the first unpleasant encounter I’ve ever experienced where there are a select few customers asked if they were a first responder/military (the customers ahead of me were asked). The young ladies were going to charge me full price without even hesitating. There’s no telling how often they do this to customers. Nobody should be excluded being asked regardless of appearance!
