“I stopped in today for the first time and was not disappointed! I basically got my daughter’s entire summer wardrobe today. Such a cute store with great inventory”

“Design & Consign is a two store antique dealer on Warwick Boulevard, Newport News, VA. One shop deals mostly in smaller knick-knacks, while the other focuses on estate pieces, including furniture and better artwork. We stopped in while visiting family to see if there were any objects we might find interesting. There was enough Asian possibilities to keep us alert, but nothing that demanded immediate purchase based on uniqueness or outstanding value. There were quite a few vendors at each location, some more to our liking than others. I found a few beautiful beads in bracelets and necklaces that could be broken down and reassembled into attractive jewelry, as well as some good glass and some older wood vanities with decent mirrors that might work at home after some reworking. Most attractive were a few of the Asian statuary and Russian enamel plates that don't have wide circulation in the USA. While we didn't purchase anything, if they are still there when we return in a few months, some may come home with us at that time. Staff was friendly and warmly greeted us when we entered, but left us alone to meander around at our own pace and direction. Of these two stores in the same commercial strip, the estate sales operation was by far the more interesting.”

“**check their social media for store hour updates ***updated my review since the store manager reached out to explain. When I did go to the store again it was open, very well organized, and had a lot of great items to pick from. Not open during posted hours. 6pm on a Wednesday and their doors are locked even though the sign says open.Only giving some stars for when I’ve gone in the past and seen the store organized well.”

“I was a little unsure about coming here based off of these reviews. I brought in clothing to sell and I browsed. The staff was very kind and helpful, I had no issues with them at all. I sold a couple of pieces of clothing and made a little extra cash, which is a plus. Loved a dress on the rack but sadly it was ripped and a few other items were stained. Overall the store was great and I will be returning to shop and sell.”
