I called needing 4 new tires for my 4Runner, they got them in the following day and once I got up there they got them mounted and balanced in under an hour while I waited! The price was less than the majority of the quotes I got!

They are the worst when I come to state inspections. I was told there was one vehicle in front of me and I waited three hours before my vehicle was taken in the back. I had to get tires and go back for reinspection, so the first time I went back they said they were to busy so I went back again and was told it would be one hour and two hours later they took five minutes to reinspect. The wait time is ridiculous

Has been the primary tire store for 3 generations. Good people. Usually a few dollars more but they clearly care about repeat business. Given a few days they can get almost any tire.

Tire city is a great family owned business. The little's give the best customer experience they possibly can. The customer service is worth it alone. These folks go above and beyond to help folks as best they can. They get/give some of the best prices around. Tire city's tech crew are fast, accurate, polite, and very professional. They offer more than just tire service here. It really great business that the city of Newport News has been blessed to have.

I went to Tire City on a Thurs. afternoon for a state inspection. They stated they’d be able to take it the following morning and have it done by the time I got off work Friday. They called me at work and left a voicemail Friday asking me to call back. I called back and was told that I’d need all 4 tires replaced in order to pass inspection. I agreed and was assured it would still be complete by end of day. I received another call right before I left work saying there was a miscommunication and the tires would need to be ordered and wouldn’t be there until the following day (Saturday). It seemed like every person I spoke to (and there were many) had a different story as to what was going on with my car. I ended up having to borrow a co-workers car to go home for the weekend. I received NO UPDATE, so I called Saturday an hour before close and the line rang through with no answer. Closed Sunday. Monday rolls around and I call early afternoon, only to be told that they still don’t have the tires because they weren’t aware that it would take 2 business days for the tires to get there and weekends don’t count. Nobody called me to tell me this, I had to call and sit on hold for several minutes at work (I’m a teacher!) while everyone figured out what was going on. I don’t understand how a tire company doesn’t know the standard wait time for tires to be ordered and why nobody communicated this with me without me having to inquire first. I was assured it’d be finished with a different type of tire by the time I got off work that day (Monday). I came after work Monday (had to be dropped off by co-worker), my old tires were STILL sitting on my car, and upon arrival I was told to wait another 45 minutes because the new tires “just arrived” and they need to put them on. The lack of communication was truly astounding and you’d think with all the auto shop competition in the area, a business with a name like “Tire City” would have a clue about what’s happening with the tire ordering process. When I showed up Monday, Mike even asked me for my keys (…which they’d had since Friday morning), then spent 5 minutes rummaging around looking for them. I was severely inconvenienced and felt dismissed when I questioned what was happening and why. I understand that mistakes happen but the lack of communication has made me not want to return.

Always have had a good experience with very fair prices. Been going there since the 80's. You can't find better service anywhere for the money.

Ordered my tires Wednesday, and they were in next day. I called Friday morning to see if they thought they could get me in quickly. They did, and they did the job well. This is how it’s done. Thank you. I will bring my other vehicles in when they need new shoes.
