I go here if there literally isn't anywhere else in town that has something, and I don't have time to order online. I purchased a 550lbs smoker here once and they would not load it. They ended up sending an elderly employee to help me load it by hand. I was sore for days so I can only imagine how he felt. I was upset when I left due to the lack of service but completely disgusted with how they treated their employee. I sent emails regarding the situation with no responses.

I had a disappointing experience with this establishment due to the discourteous behavior of their employees and the inefficient return process. Despite clearly communicating that my credit card was canceled and explicitly requesting the refund to be processed differently, they disregarded my instructions and sent it to the canceled card. This lack of attention to customer preferences reflects poorly on their customer service and makes the overall experience frustrating.

Went to purchase Christmas display. Was told all displays would be sold starting December 12. I arrived at store on that date and noticed many displays were already sold, when I went to purchase a display, I was told by manager, now we aren't selling displays until December 13. I asked what about the other displays that have been sold, he replied yes, you aren't buying anything until December 13. Not sure if he was referencing me as you or you people. Irregardless, pretty unprofessional at least.

At the Lowe’s in Newport News, the gentleman named Roy was extremely helpful, delightfully affable, and very knowledgeable. He helped this elderly lady choose, carry, and purchase my sorely needed item with extreme efficiency, and certainly made my day! Thank you!

Overall good store but not the best employees. If you’re a woman the male employees are very condescending. Also don’t ask Audrey for help if you’re not in her section. Was going to ask her a question and she immediately snapped at us and said it wasn’t her section then started to walk away. Thankfully another employee was there who was able to assist us.

They never have anyone to assistWe came in this weekend to buy a refrigerator, Washer and Dryer and not enough help. My wife ask if she could use a tape measure and they gave her one to buy. She was like no, I don't need to buy one, I need one to use to verify the size. Honestly, Lowes or At least the Newport News Lowes, never has anyone to assist nor care to assist. Ended up buying all three items 2800$ at Home Depot in chesapeake where customer service was great.

Special ordered a bathroom vanity. Finally arrived 8 days and ten calls after the original delivery date broken. Went to the store hoping to work an exchange for an in stock vanity top so the scheduled contractor could still complete the install the following day. They were unwilling to work a resolve. The only provided option was for them to pick it up and me reorder. You've got to be kidding me.

This is incredible....bought a washer/dryer set on August 27th and it was scheduled to be delivered in 10 days. Received a notice later it was re-scheduled for September 30th. In the days leading up to today, received a text message from Lowes stating my delivery time was 11am-3pm on September 30th. Of course, no ones shows up. Called the store to find out what happened and they tell me they haven't even received it from the manufacturer yet. Personally I think they probably sold & delivered my order to someone else and are simply blaming the manufacturer as an excuse. Put a tent up over this circus.

Did several online orders through this store and all of them were horrible experiences. Did a large home appliance order and kept getting the runaround about delivery times. Always a hard time getting a live person in the store over the phone. When we ordered blinds we checked in through the app and arrived at the store to be told it wasn't ready and please come back in an hour. Came back in an hour and was told it still wasn't ready and they would send someone back to the dock to get it. Twenty minutes later they finally found it. Last order they split it and had us drive to Power Plant Parkway to pick up part of the order. The other part was in the lockers at Chatham Drive and they swapped in the wrong item into our order. Thankfully we checked before leaving the store. Do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot. They always get it right and it's right next door.

I've been trying to source a replacement storm door window since the beginning of July. I've called multiple times and have been told they'd contact the supplier to find out why it's delayed and I'd be called back. To my knowledge no one has reached out to me to answer my questions. I just called to speak with a manager. Waited on hold for 15 minutes, then the call just ended abruptly. Not a happy camper and my client definitely isn't. C'mon man!!

I ordered a washer and dryer and was told it would take up to 10 days to arrive in store for delivery and I would then receive a call when it arrived. When the 10th day came I called to follow-up (a Thursday) and was told that the appliances were there and scheduled for delivery the following day, but they had not notified me. I did not know they arrived or were scheduled for delivery. I had a calendar conflict and asked if they could be delivered Saturday the following day. The sales associate in appliances, whom was helping me, said she would make a note. Friday, I received a call that my appliances were out for delivery. I then called back and had the runaround between departments for 30 min. The delivery department was unaware that I needed the appliances delivered Saturday. I was then told they would reschedule for Saturday and I would receive a call to confirm. Saturday came and I called the store first thing in the AM. I again had the runaround for 20 min and I was told that the delivery truck was already out and my appliances were not on the truck. I would have to schedule for Sunday and would receive a confirmation call. 4 PM came around and I had not been contacted so I called the store and was told I was scheduled for Sunday. Sunday morning I received a voicemail, I somehow missed the call, and was told that my washer was being delivered and there was no dryer. I called the store immediately and they said they did not have my dryer in the warehouse. They could try to get one in a few days or may take longer. I’m not sure how it went from my appliances were there, that they even tried to deliver, to now just having a washer. I asked to speak to a manager, I was then forwarded to Anthony who did nothing but tell me that my dryer was damaged and they had to get a new one… He did not give me any details of how the process worked, how long it would take or why I kept getting the runaround. I had to keep asking him questions to get details. He had a poor attitude and was not helpful at at and greatly lacks customer service skills. He was just angry the whole time, even before I slipped a curse word, which I apologized for. If I worked there I would call other stores to see if the dryer was in stock or I would see what comparable items were in stock and could be exchanged and delivered asap. A washer and dryer are a necessity. I am a full time working, active duty military member, who is also a single mother that just moved here and needs to do laundry… I will not be using this store in the future and I have a lot of home revamping to complete. This store has poor communication, customer service, professionalism and needs help with organization; I would start with management.
