James Ball's expertise and personal attention to his customers are refreshing. The experience of visiting his shop reminds one of the health food stores in major hubs in the 1970s. You will never know what unusual yet valuable products you will find; they are all very high quality. This shop is a hidden gem and worth a special trip.

Two trips to the ER and still didn't know why my daughter was having violent stomach pains and vomiting, losing 15 pounds in 7 days.Went to Jim for gut health advice, got various strengths of probiotics and showed improvement after 4-5 days. Later discovered through a stool sample at urgent care that she had c-diff.Jim is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend Health Haven.

I was greeted when I walked in, but when asked what I was looking for I had to show what I had written down since I can’t pronounce them. I stood by him at his computer for a solid 2 min and he didn’t even look up from his computer. I started looking for what I needed and he said he would help me. He first didn’t know what PCOS was or what supplement I was looking for. He kept saying well idk what that does or why you need it. Then when he understood that it was for conceiving a child he proceeded to tell me “stop trying”. That works for people without fertility issues, but I am struggling with infertility. Also, there were boxes all over the floor and items still not on the shelf. Very disorganized. I will not be coming back.

My mother visited this store and an older man helped her. They did not have what she needed, but she stayed to browse and look around. After some time, the same man approached her and said that it was time for her to leave... for no apparent reason. My mother is an older woman and a minority. She didn't want any confrontation so she left as requested, but was really upset. We don't know why she got kicked out like this, but it sure was wrong of this man to do this.

Love this place you can find things that other stores don't carry. I love the fact that he sells local honey. There are different varieties of honey from other places.
