I enjoy and appreciate shopping at Harris Teeter (Newport News location). They're always helpful, professional, and kind and demonstrate excellent teamwork, which is rarely seen. They were very busy today, to say the least. They were short staffed and only had 2 registers open. I was impressed how they worked together; Nini (who is an accountant) came out of her office, and another staff member (who isn't a cashier) both opened up a register to lessen people's frustration and having to continue to wait. Kuddos to Harris Teeter! Keep up the excellent work! Thanks for caring about your customers.

My family has been back in Newport News for over 2 years now. I have switched all my business to this local Harris Teeter. I have tried other grocery stores but none compare to the customer service that we find at HT. Items are always available and in stock. The produce section is much cleaner and well stocked than other stores. There is always bread and milk available unlike other stores. Most of all is the friendly employees and excellent management. They are always happy to help and don’t spend time on their phones vs. doing their job. We like that they employ college students and also older people. Their grocery pickup is always ready when promised and is accurate. This is a smaller neighborhood location but they do offer a salad bar, fresh pizza, deli and bakery. If you want a more unrushed and enjoyable experience then stop in and check out Harris Teeter. Make sure to sign up for the loyalty program and save.

While committed to improving my health and shedding excess weight, I faced a harsh reality at this grocery store that was no different than the other Harris Teeters I tried. There are simply no sales that a working class person can even afford. The prices for nutritious options like fresh produce and lean proteins were shockingly high. Despite my efforts to make budget-conscious choices, I found myself compromising on quality. The lack of affordable, wholesome options left me feeling frustrated and defeated. Until accessibility improves, balancing health and budget remains a daunting challenge.

I always find what I need in Harris Teeter. A bit pricey, yes, but the VIC card helps out a lot.

I had a limited shopping experience. I was totally disgusted at the lack of cleanliness in the women's restroom & was shocked that there was only one stall given that this location has a lot of square footage. Be mindful of this when shopping at this location.

Harris teeter is an upscale grocery store. If you want to compare prices to other stores, Harris Teeter is higher than the average. Take for instance sugar. The sugar price for a standard 5lb is say $4.00. However; at HarrisTeeter it will be $5.00. That is a big difference.

8:00am 2/28/24 Men's restroom is disgusting ?? Disgusted to purchase food from a place that doesn't care for sanitary restrooms. Management needs to tighten up.

All-around a much better deal than Food Lion if you are a Rewards member, and the produce/variety is much better. Its close location to the university also makes it convenient for students to walk over and get what they need.
