“My mom and I went to the Newport News location for the very first time. Although it was a holiday weekend and the store was very busy, everything was in order and easily accessible. Besides the free taste testing the customer service was top tier. Our cashier Lauren at store 0656 knew it was our first time and took such great care of us, with a SMILE. She made our experience wonderful, we look forward to more visits. Oh and they also have a great selection of food. We will be back. Thank you Lauren!”

It's a small place inside but it has a lot of variety and fresh vegetables. Be careful when walking through the snack aisle; it's hard to resist not filling up your basket ?”

“With a choice between Food Lion and Harris Teeter, I chose Food Lion. The food selection is adequate. Most of the items I buy regularly are in stock. The produce is definitely better flavor here, and lasts longer than that of their competitor. The meat/steak choices could be better. Grocery section of the store has never disappoints. Morning staff and management are friendly and professional. The ambiance of this location is fine. No loud, overbearing noise. I will continue to use this location for my go-to grocery store. “WOW! What a gem of a store! This place has absolutely everything and anything you could ever want when it comes to international cuisine. I have never seen a place so well stocked, diverse, clean and friendly. I can’t believe it took me 4 months of living in Williamsburg to realize there was a supermarket filled with international goods, I’ve been driving to Richmond just to find a decent Latin / Korean market.If you’re in the area and in need of any international ingredients you simply must come here! ☺️”
“I enjoy and appreciate shopping at Harris Teeter (Newport News location). They're always helpful, professional, and kind and demonstrate excellent teamwork, which is rarely seen. They were very busy today, to say the least. They were short staffed and only had 2 registers open. I was impressed how they worked together; Nini (who is an accountant) came out of her office, and another staff member (who isn't a cashier) both opened up a register to lessen people's frustration and having to continue to wait. Kuddos to Harris Teeter! Keep up the excellent work! Thanks for caring about your customers.”

“I really love this couple. They are so nice and so helpful. I’m glad I was able to get a lot of the things I was looking for: Royal Red Stew Sauce, Egusi Seeds, Fish, Ugu Leaves (Pumpkin Leaves), Seasoning Cubes, Palm Oil (I wish I would have gotten second container), Adobo Seasoning, and few other things. I came all of the way from North Carolina and I strongly recommend them”
“Perfect little Filipino store with a lot of options (snacks, seasonings, sauces, and more). We go here for our lumpia wrappers and sauces, and once we run out of our current seasonings, we plan to buy them here. Very fair prices and super friendly owners! Photo is of the wrappers they sell being used for lumpia. Next time I visit, I will take photos of inside the store.”

“Fantastic little grocery store that has almost everything you need for an Asian dish. They had Filipino, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and some Indian ingredients.Sometime they even have the harder to get Asian fruits like persimmons. In December 2023, they were $2.49/lb.”

“During a recent trip to VA I was on a mission to find pan dulce. After searching Yelp for all the keywords I found nothing. I walked into a busy Mexican restaurant and asked the hostess for an assist and she gave me the info for this spot.Apparently there are not a lot of "latin" food stores in the area. This place though had fresh pan dulce in a variety of flavor options. Perfect addition to your morning cafecito.Of course I had to check every aisle for other Mexican cooking necessities like chiles, harina (maseca) for tortillas, arepas, pan, corn husks for tamales, chips, cookies, Goya products, hot sauce, abuelita chocolate, they have a freezer with pupusas, empanadas, guayabas, and another fridge with desserts like tres leches cake and flan.They have money gram for sending money and phone cards. I would recommend this place if you're looking for pan dulce or you get a craving for something from back home.”
“Good neighborhood store whether for a quick stop or those long haul grocery runs. The meat goods aren't the best and I'd recommend getting those elsewhere but otherwise this store has a pretty good foreign goods aisle and good selection of other goods, I just wish the carried more sargento products than they currently do”

“I seriously felt like I was in their home. So nice and kind. I'll be honest, I have no idea what I ate. It was a full meal of chicken and rice, lentils, potatoes, and a Naan like flat bread. It was incredible! The owner apologized for it taking a long time (it didn't take long at all) because his wife was making it FRESH! Dude! Don't apologize for that! Seriously, it could have been in their house dining room being served homemade food from a kind couple. The food is awesome. EAT HERE!!!”
