Friendly faces and excellent work! Juanita on the phone is especially cheery and helpful. They were able to help me out on short notice and diagnose my engine trouble. Was an easier/less expensive fix than I expected and they had it done in no time! Highly recommend. PLEASE NOTE: the shop is at 56 Johnson Lane, Newport News, not the address currently listed here on google maps.

Can't say enough great things about this family business. I had some mechanical troubles while visiting town - they helped with the tow and repair - in a fast, friendly, and reasonably priced effort that got me back on the road fast. Most importantly, though, I heard the front office staff working with management to double check pricing on labor for any discounts. While it may not be fancy shop - I was impressed with how well they dealt with all of their customers (including a gentleman who didn't speak English well)

Broke down on the interstate and got a tow from Larry's towing. When I was informed that they also have an auto repair shop in G&C Auto Repair I entrusted them in taking care of my issue. Quotes from the dealership for the same parts and labor were several hundreds of dollars more. Not only were they good on price, but George and Chris treated me with the upmost professionalism throughout the entire process. I'll be sure to come back should the need ever arise.

When I broke down and the tow got my car there on Friday at 6ish (they had closed at 5), they were there and took the time to look at my tire problems. They wanted me to know if it could be fixed the following day or not. The next day, the problem did not resurface, but to be thorough, Chris drove my car a good distance and double checked the problem area to make sure I could get home safely. They did not charge me anything to do all of this. It's been 5 days and there has been no problem.

I have gone to G&C for several of my autos and a box truck. The prices and great but what good is a good price if the workmanship is shoddy. At G&C auto what you get is a good price probably the lowest you will find and workmanship that is the very best. Breaks on several autos. Tire rods and bearings on another. Starter issues wiring and so many other things they have done for me including installing new oil lines. Every time the workmanship is just GOOD. I will never take any of my autos anywhere else. Not ever. I am one very satisfied customer. Thx G&C for keeping my autos and truck on the road.

Wonderful service, great prices, very friendly staff. I have a very rare Pontiac GTO and these are the only guys that I let work on it. They've done standard maintenance such as replacing the rear main seal and flushing the transmission. They've also done a lot of performance work to include installing a Brembo big brake kit and replacing every single component of my suspension. G&C Auto Repair is a reliable shop you can always count on to provide quality service at an affordable price. Plus, I'm a disabled veteran and they offer a military discount. Can't beat that!
