The staff here are so wonderful. Had to bring my daughter in on Christmas Eve. All of the nurses were so kind to her and made her feel comfortable. I’m so thankful to have a place like CHKD to be able to take my sick child and ease my worries.

Good luck trying to get an appointment with sleep medicine anytime soon and have your concerns taken seriously. It took months to get a sleep study appointment and still have to wait over a month for the results despite the fact that my child is suffering. The staff gives inconsistent information and sometimes incorrect information even when there’s proof that what they’re telling you is wrong. Overall my experience with CHKD has been horrible and I wish there were other options in the area for medical care for children.

Dr. Lamb and his Nursing Assistant were both Great! Their bedside manner were professional, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. The wait time was excellent, we hardly waited and most importantly, he provided useful, professional and informative advice! I am very satisfied with our visit for my daughters ankle and knee injury. He also suggested an ankle brace and took the time to do the fitting and lace it for her⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Thank you both!! This is exactly how an office visit should be!

Wrong exercise, By: Benjamin David GunnWhat to Avoid When You Have ScoliosisLooking down at your phone. ...Lifting heavy objects. ...Certain exercises. ...One-sided / impact sports. ...High heels, flip-flops, and other shoes that don't provide much support.and There is quite simply no cure for scoliosis; it's an incurable progressive condition, meaning its very nature is to get worse. While the rates of progression can vary from glacial to rapid, most adults will start their scoliosis journey with a slower rate that increases with age for adults but Some teens with severe scoliosis need a type of surgery called a spinal fusion.

after discussing with my child's pediatrician that the size of my daughters tonsils were so large that if she any throat infections her airway could be completely blocked, I was referred to CHKD. while at our visit, the proper amount of concern was expressed and a sleep study recommended to ensure there was not a sleep disorder. the nurse for the sleep study was rude, and my 7 year old was terrified. I was barely allowed to try to comfort her and the nurse seemed more annoyed that we were even there. I felt like it was supposed to be a check in the box, and I was the inconvenience ; not the one being inconvienienced. I was informed that they were in network with my insurance and that I would be given an estimate of cost out of pocket. it was supposed to be the hospital copay for being admitted. I got the bill for over $700 and was completely stunned. my hospital copay for admittance was $300. then, I was informed that she didn't have a sleep disorder and they refused to take her tonsils out. Luckily, I called the main office and applied for assistance to pay the bill and it was reduced. I will never return to CHKD offices. They are supposed to be the best for kids, but I seriously doubt that.

I visited for my daughter’s high fever and other flu /covid symptoms. After the test was performed the physician entered the room and said we were good to go.She did not go over treatment for the fever , my prescription or how to get the test results.I felt extremely rush and left just as lost as I was when I entered.Wasn’t many people waiting after me so not sure why it was so rushed. All the other staff members were great but I feel this physician needs training.

If you care about your kids and want a caring and competent medical staff avoid this place. My grandson was kind of seen here for fever, cough and lethargy for several days. Two hours went by in the waiting room without even being triaged or even glanced at by any medical staff. After finally being called back after 2 hours my grandson was found to have an oxygen saturation of 84% and was in respiratory distress. They called 911 immediately to have him transported to a local hospital. I called to complain to a supervisor and she basically tried to blame my son for not giving a good enough presentation of why he brought him in. It's is the job of a pediatric medical facility to recognize a sick child when they see one. How is my son supposed to know my grandsons oxygen was low, Oh yeah because everybody carries their own pulse ox.Unfortunately nothing will probably get done about this because it's the job of management to protect employees not patients and they will continue to give poor care to children. This is a disgraceful facility with incompetent staff. I'm sure they didn't want to have my sick grandson interrupt their Tiktoking or Instagraming. There was zero excuse for letting a child deteriorate in a waiting room and not even be triaged for over two hours, no excuse at all.

Worst service ever. We have been waiting for 3 hours with a ill baby, they were taking children back that didn't even look sick. Apparently the don't think baby's with high fevers aren't important. And the dr we saw talked to me like I was stupid.

I took my 16 month there this past week for what I thought was an ear infection. We just moved here so we do not have a PCP yet. I reserved a time for 1:03 and was see almost instantly. They do note on their website if there are children there with more server symptoms they will tend to those sooner. New patient paperwork went quickly. She was triaged quickly with a very friendly Nurse (I think their name was Melissa.) The rooms were clean and inviting. I wish they had a small TV in there parents could turn on for their little ones. My girl was getting a bit antsy and wanting to walk around everywhere. Overall, we had a great experience!

My experience was horrible!! I waited in a room over an hour for my child to be seen, the Dr. , Dr.Ketten came in she barely examined her then asked her to change in to a gown. During this time Dr. Ketten remained in the room and turned her back. Once my daughter was changed the Dr looked at the problem area said she didn't see any thing wrong. She walked away from the bed and I begin to ask a question. Dr. Kitten then raised her hand beckoned for me to stop talking and said "mom I'm going to step out for one minute so she can get dress then I'll come right in and answer your question." I said ok!She left us sitting in the room for another 45 mins and yes I timed her!! After 45 mins my daughter needed to use the bathroom, upon return the Dr. was still not there. So I asked a nurse if we could leave since the Dr. disappeared. The nurse went looking and could not find Dr.Ketten!! After 5 mins Dr. Ketten came walking up very nonchalant to the nurses station and began to converse with the nurses laughing and giggling. So the nurse says oh there she goes, at this time the Dr. came walking to the room so I asked why would she just leave us in the middles of examining my child. She says" I was checking on the patient I had before you guys. He was actually very sick and his mom has lots of questions. Your daughter isn't sick so you guys could have waited"! At this point I could not believe what I was hearing. So I told her I would take my child where we are valued and treated with the same level of care as any other person. Would I even bring my child to chkd if she was not well!? Dr. Kitten did not care to find the source of my daughters issues and I firmly believe if we were not people of color her approach and attitude towards us would be different!!! Dr. Ketten is racist and very unprofessional! Whoever is in charge should really look in to her unethical behaviors towards a certain group of patients. Not once did Dr. Ketten apologize or offer real care to my child!! I'm horrified and traumatized by this experience.

Terrible experience! I came into the urgent care at 6pm due to my daughter having a fever of 104.1. Explaining that to them, they had me wait 2 1/2 hours until I was called back for vitals and was told to wait again for a room. After an hour of waiting again, I was called back to a room. The nurse came in for 2 minutes, never introduced herself because she put us in a room and left without warning. She never came back to check on my daughter or give us an update on what was happening. I waited for 2 hours before I decided to leave because it was past closing time at this point an no one was even on the floor to assist with anything if I had a question. Ridiculous!

I am disappointed in my most recent experience at CHKD urgent care. We have always had the very best care from all of the CHKD locations but this most recent time, the PA mixed up/confused my daughter’s diagnosis and therefore ordered very minimal RX for her antibiotics. I’m worried they won’t even last the period of time she needs to be taking them. I had tried getting it resolved and was just told to call later in the week if we run out. Kind of a bummer.

Got there around 11:30am on a Monday (memorial day) because my son had been experiencing a cough/cold for weeks without any signs of getting better. Also, happened to get a splinter in his foot the day prior and refused to let anyone near it. I was worried about infection so I mentioned that too. I sat there for about 30-45min before I was even called for registration. Sat back down. Another wait for vitals. Sent back out to wait. The entire stay I witness people walking around outside, going to their vehicles. After 3 hours my 3 year old was pretty over it. I go outside to get his sippy cup out of the car then stop by the bathroom. Of course during that 5 min we get called back. I saw the missed call on my phone and call back. They tell me I’ve been called and wanted to know if I still wanted to be seen to which I replied yes, I’m still here in the waiting room. 5 min goes by and I walk up to the registration person and ask when I’m going to get called back. They tell me I pretty much missed my chance and they already filled my spot and “moved on”. After almost 4 hours of waiting you can imagine my reaction. They continued to say “there’s nothing I can do” and acted like they could care less. I wasn’t having it. I went to the front desk and spoke to a gentleman who was very nice and understanding and explained to me that that wasn’t the case and he would go get the nurse. I was immediately taken back to a room. The dr was very nice but when it came down to the splinter I was told “they don’t do that” ? What does urgent care do then? They basically said you will have to figure that out at home or take him to ER. I’m not taking my kid to the ER for a splinter ?. Anyway. All I have to say is they definitely need better management. There’s nothing “urgent” about this place and their choice in certain staff SUCKS.

I took my Granddaughter to tech center chkd on April 22, 2022. My Granddaughter was experiencing a very cough with mucus in her throat and check, she has sneezing sore throat and constant cough. She was not treated by a doctor, but young lady who treated her asked did I want to a covid my Granddaughter wasn't up to doing a covid test. I told the nurse p that my Granddaughter was out of school for a week and that I needed a doctor's note with symptoms of treatment, I was told that I would only get a note stating that she could return to school on Monday April 26, 2022. I was so so disgusted because my Granddaughter was constantly coughing and sneezing while bein treated and anyone could see that she visibly I'll. I had to leave and go Walmart to try and figure out what I could give her for her symptoms so that she can return to school. This is not the frist bad experience I've had with Chkd urgent care, but I will not be returning there I'm very disappointed and disgusted with the service I received there. I should've went to the ER because I'm sure my Granddaughter would've receive better care.Very disappointed grandmother
