After misfortune at a construction site I developed a flat tire. A quick pump of air and I was able to get B&L. The team offered excellent customer service fitting me into their already busy schedule. Most amazing is they did a quick service check on the car to let me know of a few items needing to be addressed but no pushy sales pressure. Needing to get back to work I elected to get the items done at a later time. Even without an appointment. I was in and out within an hour. I will definitely be back. Thank you B & L Team!

Very nice and compassionate people that work there. They understood my issues with my truck and fixed them under the quote. I have had serious trust issues with companies in VA but they are one of the ones I trust. I will continue to use them from here on out. I was very impressed with B&L. The staff was very friendly. I was scheduled to come in on a Saturday and was planning on dropping my car off for a safety inspection Friday evening. Instead they took care of me Friday evening and I was in and out within 30 minutes and no longer had to come back Saturday. I will definitely be back

B&L is a great business that prioritizes customer satisfaction. Liz specifically helped a ton. Very sweet and patient and helped every step of the way as far as setting up getting my car towed to the location and getting looked at and fixed. Highly recommend. They were able to get my car in and out on the timeline promised. I also give my mechanic major kudos for communicating at length with me about what was possibly wrong (or not) with my vehicle. After talking about my options, I chose not to go forward with a big repair (replacing motor mounts). I ended up just getting my oil changed. I really appreciate that my mechanic didn't just do the repair, even though it wasn't 100% necessary. the bill would have been at least $1,100 to do the repair. A dishonest mechanic might just tell me it had to be done...and take the money and run. So I do think these guys are honest.However, it wasn't made clear to me that I was being charged $159 for a diagnostic. During our conversation, I agreed to pay $134 for an oil change. I said I thought that was high, but since they spent time looking at my car and talking me through my options, I thought it was fair to pay $134.To my surprise, my bill was $345. and because this wasn't explained to me, I felt like I just paid $345 for an oil change --and I still had the same motor mount problem I had when I came in. Which didn't feel good.Later I realized being charged for a diagnostic is pretty standard, so I am just going to bite the bullet on this one. But I'm only giving 3 stars because they weren't clear about additional charges and fees (a $10 fee to use your debit card, etc). When I asked for the estimated cost, he only said $134...so that is what I felt like I agreed to. Unfortunately, I didn't look at my receipt until after I got home.

Best place in Newport News for sure! Staff is extremely friendly and personable and they don't hide anything from you. They fit me in for an inspection last-minute this past weekend and completed it in under 2 hours. Truly a wonderful shop and will be recommending them to everyone around!

I honestly wanted to give them 5 stars but... I must say there mechanics are top quality, fast and mostly on time when the work is to be finished. Here's where it gets bad, very bad! DO NOT ask any questions when they are finished. Liz will come zipping in on her menstrual cycle and shut that noise down son! Seriously, ZERO people skills! Again there work and mechanics were fantastic they alone are a 5 star crew and this is my third time using them. Customer service from Liz, .01.

they are assholes who tell you they can do something until you get your car there then tell you they can't but it isn't that problem and they can fix this other problem.

On the evening of August 15, 2023, as I was driving from Newport News in an attempt to get home to Williamsburg after work when my journey took an unexpected turn. My tire pressure light came on. The team at B&L are amazing. I’ve been impressed by everyone on the staff. Very knowledgeable, professional but most importantly very caring. Not only did they take care of my vehicle, on short notice, but, They helped my daughter two weeks ago, while I was out of the country in a very desperate situation. They let her bring her car in the next day and took care of everything. As a military family we don’t always get to know the “go to” services when we arrive at a new base, but everyone told me to go to B&L and Bradley and the team would take care of all your vehicle needs. Getting work done on my car is usually such a stressful and overwhelming experience. Liz put my mind at ease with her honesty and thoroughness in explaining everything to me. The staff was great and took my concerns about my car seriously. It was making a squeaking noise that turned out to be a worn belt. It's working even better than before! They provided a thorough report and answered any questions I had before and after it was completed. I highly recommend this place! ?

I love that I can make an appointment to get my car's state inspection. Today my inspection took only 25 minutes! Lots of other places make you wait in line in your car and if you don't get there early enough they're booked up for the day.
