I used this vet during my search for a New veterinarian when Dr. Keller retired for my Chiweenie with Epilepsy & skin problems. This is the first vet I've used in the Page County/Shenandoah Valley area that takes the time to weigh the options based on medication interactions and follows the law/procedures set like taking blood every 6 months to check the pups levels when being on a certain medication. Also, they educated me on quite a few things I didn't know.

My Jax seemed to have a good experience there. The staff was friendly. But it was only his first time. I will do an update if my opinion changes

The only downside I had was when I took my pup the first time the appointment fee cost was only $45 this last visit was $65 and the blood work cost was $130! Pricey for me, however the level of care makes up for it.

So I want to start off saying that this place is a joke. They don't care nothing about our pets. I took my almost 1 year mini aussie to get spayed on 12/2/2020. When dropping my little girl off I asked them to please take good care of her, the receptionist said they would.. When I went to pick her up I asked how everything went and she said good, There was another lady behind the desk this time which was on the phone (shortly after she got off the phone, the receptionist that was checking me out waited for her to come out of the bathroom) and asked her to go get Millie (which is my little girls name). As she was checking me out I asked if there was any pain meds that were needed, if she should have an e-colloar (because we has one at home, along with a surgical jacket-if that's what you call it) because my other mini aussie had it after his nurturing, or any other detailed instructions on what to look for. She gave me a piece of paper which I have attached and said that neither was necessary, to keep her calm as possible. Saturday I had to take Millie to an emergency vet that cost me almost $600.00 so that they could re-suture her along with clean the wound out. She is now on anti-inflammatories, pain meds and antibiotics.
The whole point of this store is that when I called first thing Monday morning the receptionist new my concern and left me hanging. So I drove there )after waiting 5 hours.)to see if there was anything that the doctor would do as far as reimbursement. The receptionist stated that he said no because we were informed about an e-collar and that she had a witness to prove it. Well no she didn't I asked several times and being a nurse for 29 years I am very much attention to detail when it comes to discharging a patient. Then the receptionist accused me of lying, saying that she told me I could put the e-collar if I wanted and to top it off there was no follow up needed for Millie and they put dissolvable sutures in.????? She didn't have a witness because the other receptionist was in the bathroom and the getting Millie. Why must people lie like that.
I asked for Millie's medical records and the receptionist gave me (see below). Really for my Millie being there 8 hours there is no temp check, no gum check to see if she's dehydrated, no surgical vitals nothing.
You know I didn't even get a chance to meet the doctor, so I can't truthfully say that he's at fault but the receptionist, shouldn't be working there. She has no compassion and she's rude. Usually when you take your pet or child to the doctors you get to meet the doctor, don't count on it.
Sorry for the long rant but my puppies are my children.

Staff was very rude. called a week before for a walk in and they told me they were closed. I understood and I came back, they said walk ins were only 12-1, they never specified a time. we drove 30 minutes here, just to get a bad attitude, when they clearly are still open. they were very rude both times. terrible.
