I really like Dollar General Stores because of the convenience, however the store in New Canton leaves a lot to be desired. Quite often they aren't open when they are supposed to be, at times the line is across the store waiting to check out when they are open especially on Sunday afternoon. Other times when I am waiting in line (I have had other family and friends also make the complaint) this one cashier (male) will be talking about nothing and just keep going like everyone wants to hear and he is so loud. I have heard the evening staff complain about the day shift managers so much that I try to stay away unless I really need something. In the past few months almost every time I go into the store there are carts of merchandise sitting at the end of most of the isles waiting to be stocked and you can't find stuff on the shelves because the stock hasn't been put out. When you ask about an item, you are told "We are expecting a truck tonight or tomorrow" then you call to see if it came in and are told "The truck came in but they didn't have the item you are requesting or we haven't gotten everything put out yet". This is one of the poorest run stores in the county. No I misspoke, this is the poorest run store in the county or any of the surrounding counties that I have been in. I am going to give this store 1 star because it is the only way I can post this. (I read some of the post other people posted from 2-3 years ago and I agree with some of them the store doesn't operate like it did back then. This store needs management.

Waited in line 15 minutes because a woman was having coupon issues. Emily comes out the back sees the line and walks out the front door. Not very goos customer service. New manager is rude and if you sit in the parking lot on the phone to safely talk to someone she out there acting like a fool. Store is disgusting products still in boxes on the shelf. Cages in the aisles so you cannot shop. I have pictures of the store.
