Beautiful property. The Bistro here is probably the best of all the wineries we have ever been to. Great food and service.

Extremely RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, and 0 Customer service.I called to make a table reservation for a party of 5 for their Salsa night event. They provided me with the reservation and I was sent a confirmation email. I was also told to go online to purchase the tickets separately as they do not do that via phone, or maybe the operator did not want to. Right after the phone call, I went on their website to purchase the tickets and the button was not available. I checked in again and it still was not available. I called them a few days later after checking their website numerous times, and I was told that they were sold out of online tickets and that the only tickets available are at the door and I would have to be there at 5pm in order to purchase them. I asked why was I given the reservation if there were no tickets available as my reservation was for 6:45pm. The manager was rude and disrespectful. She explained that they had a glitch in the system and once the glitch was fixed, the tickets were sold out. Again, I asked how was it my fault that when I went to purchase the tickets, I couldn't and I was told that the system glitch was not their fault and that if I wanted my tickets, to show up at 5pm.The manager was rude and would talk over me as I am explaining the situation. She also told me that people purchase tickets months in advance and when I noted the fact that I was able to reserve a table and they provided that that week, she told me that "we didn't have a table for you, we had to squeeze you in". At that point, I realized that her rudeness was going to continue so I informed her that when I reserved the table, no one stated that there weren't any tables available and the operator was more than happy to book one for me... I hung up and called again in hopes of speaking to someone else, but it was the same manager, in the same rude manner. She was disrespectful and extremely rude. They have zero knowledge of customer service as the simplest solution was to provide me with tickets per the reservation that they had provided me days prior. They had a lot of tickets left for "at the door" so it wasn't a space issue. Even if they could NOT provide the tickets, they could have AT LEAST been RESPECTFUL about it.Would not recommend anyone coming here.

We went for the Valentines couple's dinner. By far the best meal I can remember having in a very long time. Every course was superb. I can't wait to go back.

Went to Brunch. Flies, in winter, inside. Bad sign to start with.Fondue was velveeta white with cheeses, bland, flavorless.Eggs tasted as if they didnt rinse the bowl the used to mix them, soapy."Focaccia" was cornmeal with flour, and they served it raw. Raw dough!.Babaganoosh was couscous puree.Hummus was tahini paste.Wines: all had this yeasty aftertaste, as if they used some yeast to accelerate fermentation. Which gave everyone liquid poopsMimosas were 99% super pulpy OJ. And tasted like the cheap stuff.Bloody mary was ridiculous, all food, 3onz of drink. The pita, from costco surely, was ok. The candied bacon was average. The salads were salads. Only edible thing for breakfast was salad. Imagine how sad that the only good thing was salad after a $300 tab.

The wine from their small 35 acres tastes like dirty, overpriced, gas station wine coolers but at least the gas station wine coolers are gnat and fly free, unlike crosskeys. There is nothing comparable to Italy whatsoever! The owners are only interested in big money wedding parties with terrible customer service if any for the rest of us. We were made to be lesser than and was interrupted and moved multiple times for a sloppy, drunk wedding party. The wedding party along with their tumultuous pets, continued to be super loud including racial slurs and thunderous expletives with obnoxious behavior towards the guest and the musical performer outside in the patio area. The family owners and staff tolerated and promoted this behavior because they are personal friends of this wedding party!

We were invited on December 16th to a JMU graduation dinner for our niece and it was at the CrossKeys Vineyard. It is located in a beautiful valley setting surrounded by mountains. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The French Onion Soup was unique, with a number of vegetables besides the onions, but did not have melted cheese on top. The umami (savory) flavor was excellent. I had the gnocchi main dish (which was a special, not normally on the menu, I believe) and a hot, mulled cider to drink. Both were likewise excellent. My wife tried the European Fondue and the Chicken Caesar Salad. Service was quite good and I would gladly return, though I rarely have reason to be in that area. The only downside is that the open room with a large number of people can get a bit loud, but that was a small detraction. Well worth the visit.
