Annual vaccines time again (Oct, 2023) -- and my husband and I wanted to get 3 vaccines: a flu shot, updated Pfizer COVID shot, and RSV. We booked our appointments on line, and we were again directed to this CVS in Montpelier. That's a pain because this location is about 30 minutes from us on country roads (38 yesterday with road work), but the CVS that is closer to us (20 minutes) only carries the Moderna COVID vaccine and doesn't have the flu shot formulated for those 65+. Upon arrival, we spoke to the very friendly and helpful pharmacist, and she recommended getting only two vaccines on one day as we might be sore at the injection sites so we'll wait two weeks to get the RSV vaccines. The pharmacy tech who administered the shots was also friendly and competent. As instructed, we stayed in the store for 15 minutes "just in case we experience adverse reactions" to the vaccines. This gave us time to pick up some well-priced Halloween candy, and to have a nice chat with the worker in front. There's plentiful and free parking. The location was also close to a few restaurants and a grocery store so we knocked off a few more things from our "to do" list.

Sad to see the negative reviews directed to employees who have no control over the fact staffing shortages are real everywhere. I have found the staff here helpful and knowledgeable. They don’t have the staff to keep up everyday- give them a break .

This store opens and closes at managements leisure. I've been here twice now and the store is closed during posted operating hours. I hope CVS fires store manager Clarence Hargrove, and puts someone in charge that actually cares about the fact this store is the primary source for medicine for the Montpelier area.

The worst hours ever! This so called pharmacy has old school bankers hours and not customer focused at all. Hope you find another place to go for medicine.

If you're looking for variety... keep on truckin'! This small CVS in Montpelier is limited in their inventory. I popped in for a few travel size items , and a couple stapes & the selection was scanty. Scanty, I tell you! It also had a musty odor to it. On the plus side, the employee at the counter was super nice and friendly. I ended up grabbing a few things and with my coupons and CVS bucks, I saved 72% on my order! That's right folks, 72%! For incredible savings, you can't beat this pharmacy chain, but this cute, mini CVS only stocks the bare essentials. Two stars overall, but I added one for the staff; kudos for customer service!

Incredibly positive experience today with the CVS in Montpelier after a whirlwind day trying to find my two boys the appropriate meds for their ear infections. All of the staff at CVS Pharmacy, particularly Lisa the lead pharmacist, went above and beyond to make sure the boys got exactly what they needed In the most timely manner possible. I very much recommend this branch for all of your pharma needs. It is highly unusual to experience this level of customer service.

everyone very friendly quick and convenient! I refuse to go to Louisa CVS to get my prescriptions they call you to tell you they're ready ,but when you get there you wait for over 2 hrs for the pharmacist to check it ? so then don't call me and tell me it's ready !!!!

I absolutely love this location and everyone at this CVS has been so nice and prompt, literally from the time I step in the store manager greets me, and then going back to the pharmacy to get prescriptions is an absolute breeze. I do not have medical insurance so I typically use the good RX, however upon picking up my prescriptions, they are ran under multiple discount plans that CVS takes, and I am always given the lowest price through the plan that has it the cheapest. I transferred all of my prescriptions from the CVS in Louisa. I don't know what these bad reviews are all about but I gotta say one thing, in this world today alot of people have lost respect totally, not only for elders but just others in general, sometimes if you just show some kindness to others they will return it ten fold, being rude to others has never gotten me anywhere, and please remember these folks are just like everyone else, they have families just like we do and would like to get back home to see them after working, so dropping in right before closing may not be the best time to drop off a prescription, I was in dentistry for 20 years and I had to contact insurance companies, it's not a walk in the park, especially if they have put you on hold, that can last 45 minutes or so, I'm not trying to take their side, I'm just saying, look at the big picture and understand where they are coming from and I am certain if your a lil kinder they will return the kindness❤️❤️

If I could give them a 0 star I would.. I have had nothing but problems with the pharmacy at this location. Currently my husband as no RX drug insurance so he uses Good RX I had to end up paying full price for his medications there because the pharmacist refused to apply the good RX coupon because her reason of they were closing in 45 minutes, no that’s just lazy. This happened 2 times, but the straw that broke me was when I had to take my step daughter to the ER she ended up having an extremely bad ear infection. The medication the Dr prescribed was ear drop antibiotics well I ended up not being able to afford them so I called the ER back and asked them to call another medicine in, they advised me to have the pharmacist call them and they would give a direct order to them. I went to the pharmacy and was there 1 hour before close and explained the situation to the tech and pharmacist and they said they could do it but it wouldn’t be that day because they were getting ready to close. I said you close in 1 hour and they still refused to do it, meanwhile my step daughter is crying in the pharmacy because of the pain.. I’m sorry I as an adult can take things but a small child in pain and you act like that when that call would only take you 2 minutes (I know this because I do it at my job). I will NEVER patron that pharmacy ever again and I have transferred all scripts to a different pharmacy that will not give me grief about using Good RX.. the techs name was Sarah and the pharmacist is Lisa!!!!! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!!!!!

Rude and spend more time profiling than helping with medications.
