Peace, Mind and Body Yoga is my happy place. When I am there, I always feel loved, heard and safe. The owner, Aliya is beyond amazing. In the past 5 years, Aliya has supported myself and our family through our highs ( weddings, pregnancy and graduations) as well as our lows (cancer treatments, hospice care and death). We are blessed to have Aliya and Peace, Mind and Body Yoga in our lives. The skills and support we've received has been invaluable. If you've not had a chance to experience yoga with Aliya at Peace, Mind and Body Yoga we highly recommend it. Her studio supports every aspect of the whole person. Namaste JB and family

I’ve been attending classes for about a month after taking the intro to yoga workshop (highly recommend as a starting point). There is a nice variety of classes offered, and Aliya is a great teacher! She has created a very welcoming, kind, and judgement-free space. I also really appreciate Aliya’s care for our local community and the ways that she does good through her studio.

I have been coming for about two months now and I never thought I could do yoga. It had been amazing to see my body change and do things i didn’t do before. I started because I’m trying to get healthier and get my cholesterol down and after two months of yoga and eating a little better, it is down over 40 points! Aliya is amazing and patient and always willing to help you improve! Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to this studio for 3 months now and I am so thankful I decided to start! Aliya is such a welcoming and wonderful soul & makes the class such a relaxing escape from life! I feel like since starting yoga I’ve started a life changing journey into myself to heal and become a better human, I’ve never been more grateful for anything. Really enjoying the classes!! (deep stretch, gentle and restorative). I was always interested in going to yoga and finally took action. Aliya mentioned after 3 weeks I would start to see the affects. It is absolutely true!! More relaxed, sleeping better and best result is more flexibility, strengthening, and reshaping my body! Thanks Aliya!

Great place for Yoga! Aliya is a kind and caring teacher. She wants you to enjoy yoga and have fun. She helps with keeping your mind centered on the present(mindfulness) and having positive mantras while doing yoga poses.

I’ve been coming to Peace of Mind & Body for a little over 1 month now. Recently and suddenly I felt I had overdone it and thought I had hurt my lower back pain. After a few days of being in pain and not being able to twist, bend and having difficulty walking I decided to do a few of the Yoga poses I have recently learned at Peace of Mind & Body. Afterwards I felt as if something clicked and to be honest I was scared I had hurt myself even more but to my surprise I didn’t hurt myself, on the contrary it healed my pain. I was able to walk, twist and balance on one leg again … woohoo!! Please BELIEVE you can find relief or heal yourself thru Yoga. I will continue on this path looking forward in continued healing both mentally and physically. Thank you Aliya for sharing your knowledge. Namaste.

I originally contacted Ms. Aliya because I needed to rent studio space to prepare for an upcoming performance. She worked with me to rent the space for a price that was within budget and I'm so grateful because I feel so much more prepared as the event gets closer. The studio is also well kept and a peaceful environment.I also got to take her Pilates and Hatha Yoga classes, and as a dancer I found them to be a great addition to my other weekly workout, and a good reminder of my own Pilates training! If you need to work on your core definitely take the Pilates class.One last thing, my first Hatha Yoga class felt like a good reset and a wonderful workout all in one. I definitely got challenged in my balance and stretching ability, but in the end as I sat in the dark listening to her instructions and parting words, I definitely felt calmed, centered, and ready to face the crazy of the outside world.

I started yoga upon retiring. After 30 years behind a desk, I felt like a combination of the Tin Man and Jabba the hut. I asked if this was Yoga for the severely uncoordinated…a couple of classes and I started to feel a little looser. I had my annual physical after just six weeks and to my surprise my blood pressure was down, my EKG was perfect,my A1C was lower and my cholesterol was down.

Aliya has not only helped me cope with my anxiety through yoga but also my 9 year old daughter who loves going to her private yoga/reiki sessions. I have seen a noticeable difference in her ability to focus on the present and turn negative thoughts into positive ones. It's a nice retreat from regular talk therapy and possibly a start to learning how to cope without the use of medication. I love the fitness aspect of it too as I am trying to get back into shape after the birth of my 2nd daughter. Aliya is very attentive in making sure I am doing the poses correctly and takes the time to answer all of my questions.

Yoga with Aliyah is the best thing I've done for myself! I came to her studio without any prior yoga experience, unbalanced, & out of shape. Peace of Mind & Body studio is a welcoming & diverse space, & I appreciate how they explain how to modify poses for different body shapes & abilities. After just one month (3 classes/week) of classes my blood pressure has lowered to healthy ranges, my back issues are improving, & everyday movements are becoming much easier. I happily recommend Peace of Mind & Body Yoga!
