We were visiting the Moneta area and our motor on our pontoon would not start. Although swamped with other business, the owner, CJ, and Josh went out of their way to help us get up and running. Excellent customer service!!!!!

The wife contacted Magnum by telephone about 3 months ago to bring her boat in for a check and most likely a repair. She was informed they would contact her when they could schedule an appointment. During the 3 months my wife sent 2 emails and made 1 personal visit to the business to inquire about having work performed. After 3 months, the loss of prime boating season, and zero response from Magnum my wife decided to put the boat back on the trailer to tow it to Chesterfield County. We took it to the dealership she purchased it from. Nautical Marine took the boat in, promptly service it, and we are about to bring it back to Smith Mountain Lake. The turn around time at Nautical was 2 weeks. Magnum will not receive any business from us due to their poor customer service. I strongly urge anyone considering Magnum for service, or anything else, to think twice. I do wish Google would allow negative stars!

We recently asked Magnum Boating to sell our used Hurricane deck boat. They enthusiastically agreed, and were able to find a buyer for it earlier this spring. Throughout the entire process, Tim Wray, Zach Hartwell, and everyone else there were easy to work with. Communication was excellent, and we feel like they gave us very good advice. I would pass by their lot every few days, and the boat was always covered, so I felt like they were taking good care of it while they had it. I would highly recommend working with them if anyone is looking to do the same.

Tim, Caroline, and the whole magnum crew made my family feel like apart of their family from the very beginning. The whole magnum team went above and BEYOND to ensure my families satisfaction with our purchase. I highly recommend magnum for any and all of your boating needs. If and when the time comes to upgrade my boat I’ll be heading back to magnum! Team magnum boating for the win!

Magnum had access to our boat from July 27 until repairs were finally made on Oct 21st. In July we had told them we thought it was a bad fuel pump. We're not sure exactly how many visits they made to our dock (only a 20 minute ride from them) but they first diagnosed bad gas. We said no way - we had just run 90 gallons of gas through the boat. Next it was a bad carburetor cap, Injectors and fuel filter. When that didn't work they came out Oct 19th to put in a new fuel pump and they had the wrong one. Finally, on Oct 21st they replaced the fuel pump. Now, we have an $1874.52 bill (and, I might add, grease all over the carpet). After two months when we went to inquire what was taking so long, the owner's wife belligerently told us to take our business somewhere else. Wish we had done that sooner. We will never go back.In response to your comments:As I mentioned earlier, the part we needed arrived in two days (no delay there)! We just received your bill so it would have been difficult for us to question anything until now. Are you willing to make an adjustment? Along those lines, you made a mistake on the bill. You gave us an $85.00 "Good Customer Discount" but charged us for it. So, that is a $170.00 swing that we will be subtracting from what you believe we owe you.

Service used to be terrible. Magnum hired a complete new staff and I must say, their services is so much better than previously. I recommend magnum now that they have a new staff. Ask for Joshua.....thank you
