Emailed about a hair cut and color service a couple months ago. Gave all the details about my hair which is very (24") long, thick and wavy. I had been growing it out for 3 years and wanted a change. Never got a response. Not good business etiquette, when the website literally says contact them. I will take my business elsewhere.

I met Diane today for my first hair appointment, since moving to Louisa County. She was so nice, professional and helpful to me! I am very happy with how she carefully styled my hair, it looks fantastic! Diane also gave me some great advice for caring for my hair in a way that nobody else has done. She is quite knowledgeable about keeping your hair healthy, I was very impressed! If you are wondering who to trust your hair styling with, let me highly recommend Hair Etc. as the best place ever! I definitely recommend using this salon ?Dianne was WONDERFUL!She booked an appointment for my 5 year old daughter same day, but ended up cutting both of my daughter’s hair.This was my youngest’s (2 year old) first haircut, and she made it a wonderful experience. She even pulled out a special fire truck chair for her to sit in as a celebration! ?She was extremely patient and kind while cutting, and quick,To top it all off, she personally blew up a balloon for each of my girls! ?ABSOLUTELY visit this beautiful salon for your next cut!

Gonna be honest. I liked her at first as my son got his first hair cut. Then he wouldn’t stay still. So she looked at me and said next time you come just give him some Benadryl. And I’m like umm no. Then she told me not to say cry or laugh because it would make my son cry or laugh. I was not happy.Service: Haircut

I would leave CERO stars if I could. Got my son a haircut here a few months ago. She was very rude and left a horrendous first impression. Asked my son what his favorite class was and he said history. Of course, the question was a trap and she decided to talk politics with my son; "What do you think about them trying to get rid of history? The bibIe says that's wrong." He was clearly uncomfortable but she kept pressing. Oh boy, that's just one of many of the train wrecks of the hair appointment. She also kept sneezing in my son's hair and rudely assumed that it was because we had a cat. We told her that our cat had recently died. "oh" is how she responded, not even an apology. To top things off, my son tried to save the awkward moment by making a comment midway through the haircut saying that he looked like a greaser. This lady is not no spring chicken and I kid you not, she goes, "What's a greaser?" I was stunned and said that a greaser is like Fonzie from Happy Days. She didn't even know what that was, or THE OUTSIDERS. Do not go to this place because hair appointments are awkward enough, this place makes hair appointments even worse because of her social awkwardness and bad manners.Service: Haircut

I was looking for a new hair stylist after having relocated to Louisa County from another part of the state. I went to Hair Etc. based on location and (small number of) glowing 5* Yelp reviews. On the positive side, I was able to make an appointment relatively quickly with the stylist, who appears to be a sole proprietor. Appointments are available for most days of the week, and for extended hours. The shop is easy to find, and is clean. The stylist is personable, and her prices (in my case, for a cut, shampoo, and style) were very good. However, while my hair looked great immediately upon completion of my appointment, it was already falling into my eyes within a few hours. After washing, the cut was "choppy", and didn't look good as a "wash and wear" style nor did I have the skill to make it look attractive with personal styling.
