No public restroom. Owner is rude and still enforcing mask rule. Avoid this place

I mean, it sells gas and snacks. It also doesn't let the customer's use the restroom, which is pretty necessary when you're driving through

Yelp will help you find other alternatives. Do yourself a favor and chose another one. Seven permanent residents and nine parking slots of which two also have permanent residents. This is a place that doesn't inspire confidence. Run down. Only connected power as was unsure of water quality based on place. Didn't dump either. Stayed only one night. Glad we did so we don't do it again.

The good: This campground was quiet and had free showers. The bad: It's very old. We stayed in a cabin and they are decent. The pond is really dirty and small. It does have some small fish but no one really fishes here. The paddle boat is a metallic green looks like something from the 60s and has a hole that leaks. Most of the people that stay here are permanent residents. The sheriff showed up twice while we were here to break up fighting amongst the residents and staff. One person was arrested on one of these occasions. Staff are extremely unhelpful and rude. Mini golf is run down and hardly works. Pool pH is checked maybe once every three weeks. They keep a ph log on a board near the pool. Not recommend; would look elsewhere.

We stayed here in a tent for the Independence Day weekend. Our kids loved it. Our first impression was very poor. The woman answering the phone was neither polite nor helpful. She directed us to a site that was completely useless for tent camping. We were discussing leaving when "Ranger" Mike pulled up and got us to a great site. From there on, the experience was a lot of fun. The facilities are admittedly run down, but Ranger Mike's efforts made sure the weekend was fun for everyone at the campground. A scavenger hunt for the children, bingo, very friendly engaging service. We forgot an extension cord, I mentioned going to find one, but Mike brought one by the site, so I didn't end up having to spend the few bucks on a cord I wouldn't need at home. Lots of families there with kids and all had more than enough fun to make up for the dilapidated game room and mini golf. Hats off to Ranger Mike. If the rest of the staff had his commitment and work ethic this campground would be superb. 22 miles from King's Dominion and State Fairgrounds. If you take yourself especially seriously and the idea of laundry facilities that aren't working scares you off, go to a Marriott or Hampton Inn. If you want character and fun memories and can laugh at the idea of campgrounds that have six blood glucose monitors for sale in the store, but you can't buy a bag of ice, then this place is for you. We will be back!
